Ip Man 3 features Donnie Yen Vs Mike Tyson in a blistering fight sequence. Ip Man is a renowned martial artist and practitioner of Wing Chan, with Bruce Lee (Enter The Dragon) being one of his most famous students. The legacy of Ip Man only seems to grow year by year, thanks in large part to a number of high-profile films being made about his life. One example is 2013's The Grandmaster, a sumptuous biopic from director Wong Kar-wai and starring Tony Leung (Hard Boiled) as Ip Man.

The most popular franchise based around Ip Man is the Donnie Yen (xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage) fronted series that launched in 2008. The franchise has been praised for its incredible fights - no surprise, given Donnie Yen's abilities - and for being great dramas too, even if they color outside the lines of Ip Man's real life for the sake of drama. Yen originally planned to stop after Ip Man 2 but was eventually persuaded to return for two more sequels, with Ip Man 4 acting as the finale. That entry depicts the final years of his life which included a move to San Francisco and featured Yen facing off against action star Scott Adkins (Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning).

Ip Man 3 depicted the beginnings of Ip Man's relationship with Bruce Lee, and while producers almost opted to recreate Lee using CGI, they eventually cast Danny Chan in the role. Ip Man 3 also featured a guest appearance from ex-boxer Mike Tyson as Frank, an American property developer who become an enemy of Ip Man during the story. This comes to a head in Frank's office, where he promises that if Ip Man can last three minutes in a fight with him, he'll leave him be.

Ip Man 3's Donnie Yen Vs Mike Tyson is a highlight fight sequence in a film full of them. Given Tyson's background it only makes sense for Frank to be a brutal boxer, with his abilities in contrast to Ip Man's more graceful techniques. Frank brutally attacks with blunt force, landing some vicious blows, before Ip Man rebounds and manages to fight Frank to a standstill. While he probably should be angry over Ip Man managing to last the whole three minutes, Frank genuinely seems impressed when it's done.

Ip Man 3's Donnie Yen Vs Mike Tyson may have been a selling point in the trailers but it only makes up a subplot, and the whole film is well worth seeking out - alongside the Ip Man franchise.
