A home is a reflection of its owner, and with all of the big personalities in Hollywood, it’s no surprise that celebrities have been known to invest in customizing their residences with luxurious, unexpected, and even downright wild features to reflect their personal passions, interests, and hobbies. From a private bowling alley to an entire room dedicated to trampolines, a wine cave to a massive skate park, these are a few of the things one can find in Hollywood’s most unique homes.

Oprah Winfrey’s wine cave

Oprah Winfrey is notorious for going the extra mile, and her Telluride, Colorado, home is no exception. The media mogul purchased the five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom mansion from tech entrepreneur Bob Wall for $14 million back in December 2015, and with it reportedly came a treasure trove of high-end amenities, including a wine cellar built to mimic a mining tunnel. The cellar spans 56 feet and holds up to 1,600 bottles of vino; it even features piped-in sounds of creaking wood and dripping water to add to the cave-like atmosphere. An antique ore cart lends further authenticity to the space.

Lady Gaga’s bowling alley

When Lady Gaga isn’t busy lighting up a stage with her infectious energy or going glam on the red carpet, she can likely be found decompressing at her $23 million home in Malibu—and possibly even bowling. The eccentric singer and actor snapped up her Mediterranean-style villa back in 2014, and among its many enviable amenities is a two-lane bowling alley, located on a lower level that also boasts a home theater, a game room, and an 800-bottle wine cellar. A bocce ball court, eight-stall stable, and saltwater swimming pool are also available on the premises.

John Travolta has always been a fan of aviation, which is why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he has two runways in the backyard of his Florida home. “We designed the house for the jets and to have at our access the world at a moment’s notice, and we succeeded at that,” he told Australia’s Today show back in 2014. The Grease star is a certified private pilot and has owned several aircrafts, including a Qantas Boeing 707 and a Challenger jet. Even the decor inside the home is aviation-themed, with an airport mural in the dining room and airplane models abound.

Lil Wayne’s skate park and shark lagoon

Though he sold the home for $10 million in 2017, Lil Wayne’s former waterfront mansion in Miami is notable for two unusual features that reflect the Grammy-winning rapper’s eclectic taste: a shark lagoon and a skate park. Though we can’t be sure if the new owners kept up these unique amenities, when the Young Money Entertainment founder resided at the home, the lagoon surrounded a glass elevator to the master suite, while the skatepark was set up on the roof. This way, skaters could take in the stunning ocean view while trying out tricks.

Bill Gates’s trampoline room

Bill Gates may have an estimated net worth in the hundred billions, but when it comes to extravagant spending, he points to his $63 million Medina, Washington, home as one of his biggest splurges. “I have a nice house,” the Microsoft cofounder said during a Reddit AMA last February. “It includes a trampoline room which seems kind of over the top, but my kids love using it to work off their excess energy.” The space has a 20-foot ceiling for plenty of room to bounce, and is part of a fitness facility that spans 2,500 square feet and also boasts a 60-foot-by-17-foot swimming pool with a fossil-motif floor and an underwater music system.

Miley Cyrus’s mini-golf course

For her first big home purchase in the fall of 2017, Miley Cyrus snagged a rustic 33-acre property in Franklin, a small city in her birth state of Tennessee, for $5.8 million. Excitingly for the “Wrecking Ball” singer, the purchase came with a number of fun amenities, including a mini-golf course in the backyard. Though she still maintains the property, she now splits her time between Franklin and a $2.5 million Malibu home she bought back in 2016.

50 Cent may no longer maintain a home in Connecticut—he finally sold his sprawling 52-room mansion for $2.9 million in the spring of 2019 after it sat on the market for 12 years—but his former dwelling remains inextricably tied to the rapper’s tastes. The Power actor and producer originally bought the property from Mike Tyson for $4.1 million, and under 50 Cent’s ownership, the house became most notorious for boasting its own nightclub called TKO, complete with mirrored stages, poles, and a full bar. Other amenities of note include a hot tub that can seat up to 40 people, a green-screen room, and a recording studio.

Jerry Seinfeld’s baseball diamond

Even though he’s never played on an organized team, Jerry Seinfeld is a lifetime baseball fan. So it’s fitting that the comedian has embraced his childhood passion by installing a baseball diamond in the backyard of his $32 million Hamptons home. According to the New York Post, the baseball diamond sits where the property’s former owner Billy Joel once stored his boat. Other features of the home include a 22-car garage and a $17,000 Elektra Belle Epoque espresso machine.

It’s no secret that Paris Hilton is a lover of animals, and the heiress turned reality star turned DJ has shown off a doggy mansion that she had built in her home’s backyard multiple times. Hilton told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest last fall that it’s “like a replica of [her] house but obviously smaller.” The two-story mansion has air conditioning, heating, designer furniture, and even a chandelier. The interior is painted a bright pink, and a set of wooden stairs connects the two floors. Outside, the doggy mansion even has its own wrought iron gate. “I don’t have kids yet, so basically, I spoil them like they’re my children,” Hilton told the talk show hosts of her pups.
