Egyptian veteran Shwikar died last Friday at the age of 85, after a recent health crisis.
Acting Professions Syndicate headed by the artist Ashraf Zaki mourned the deceased in a statement that said: "The great artist Shwikar passed away. May God have mercy on the deceased, and give her family and fans patience and solace."
A source revealed to Al-Watan that cause of Shwikar's death at Al-Safa hospital, was due to "gallbladder rupture."
Dozens of stars took part in the veteran's funeral, as they headed from Al-Safa hospital to the cemetery of her family in Sixth of October City.
Mervat Amin, who used to be a very close friend to Shwikar, was keen to attend the funeral.
Dalal Abdel Aziz, Nihal Anbar, Munir Makram and Mona Hussein Fahmy also were present.
