If you are not crushing it and focusing on the content that you put out on the most important social platforms, you’re going to become mute and obsolete in the modern day of doing business. That’s why organic reach is so important because the impression you get when someone comes directly to your page is a much more qualified lead and potentially a more valuable customer than someone you got through an ad buy. No amount of paid media is going to turn bad creative into good content. There’s plenty of different paid tactics (Facebook Advertising, Instagram influencer marketing, YouTube pre-rolls, Snapchat new ad product, etc.) that will help grow your audience, but the opportunity to get very serious about the content that you put out in an organic way on social networks matter. Why? Because it is the most natural and current state of the internet. While the supply and demand shift for paid media becomes more saturated, it leaves an incredible opening for the brands that make great content to grow the right way. When you start to really understanding what social media is today and where it’s going, you start realizing that social media is just the slang term for the current state of the internet.

One of the greatest mistakes of my investing career was passing on investing in Uber in the angel round twice. And part of the reason I invested in the next round was because my brother AJ took the first Uber ride in New York City when the founder of Uber came and asked us to test it. And that was the moment I realized, Uber doesn't sell transportation, Uber sells us time. The reason all this infrastructure matters in an app environment is because it's just seamless, there's less friction. The number one emerging thing in society in value is time... people value time over everything - which is why convenience and lack of friction win.

Love is a better motivator than fear in business.

Fear kills growth.

A lot of people need to hear this, I think it will help you by helping them which will help you ❣️❣️❣️❣️ When you care about your community and your customers, think about them and give them what they want instead of focusing on what you want, that allows you to "win".

I believe you build the tallest building in town by building it — not by tearing other people’s buildings down. You don’t have to be mean to “make it.” In fact, kindness is a much better companion to ambition than cruelty. When you see other businesses within your industry killing it, be happy for them. Be competitive, be an executor, be tenacious, yes…but be happy for others because there is enough success to go around.

Every day I see 100’s of people having the game backwards. People are lazy and passive daily but stress and are antsy yearly, while the way to do it is to be fast and antsy daily and patient yearly.
