I absolutely love Shalini’s work, and this book is no exception. They just keep getting better and better. Billed as a “totally gripping and heart-stopping psychological thriller full of twists” is exactly how to describe this book. Shalini knows her stuff in this genre, and she has created a story that I could not get enough of and read in one sitting. Make sure you have nothing else to do when starting this book, as it will have you hooked from the get go right up until the final page with a twist to end all twists! It’s so good! Shalini does a great job in drawing the reader in and making you feel a part of the story, with believable characters and with a beautiful picturesque setting. Any story featuring a sea side town is always a winner for me. I felt like I was there with the characters. The subplot in this book compliments the main story well, and builds up the right amount of suspense and intrigue, and you know that the outcome is going to be jaw dropping, and believe me it is! This is one of my shorter reviews, but as the blurb tells enough of what the book is about, I don’t need to go into any more detail on that and I don’t want to give anything away! Just know that this is an amazing read and I can’t wait to see what Shalini comes up with next. I can’t recommend this book enough! Thank-you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Shalini Boland for allowing me to read an advance copy of The Marriage Betrayal in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and are not biased in anyway.

This is the first book I read by this author and OMG what a great first read by her. This is a stand alone novel so you don’t have to read anything before it. This book is about a mother desperate to find out what happened to her husband and son when they went out one morning to see the dolphins without her. I want to start by saying this book is not what it seems at all. I thought I knew what was going on and what would happen next until I got to the end and it blew me away. I would have never guessed how this book was go to end. I was really impressed at how the author turned a simple missing person case into something way more complicated than that. I am really glad this was the first book I read by this author as now I want more and will definitely read all her books. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am getting tired of books that have to have surprise endings. Its old. Just write a good bloody story. This ending spoilt the entire book for me. Why why why do we have all this TWIST in the tale rubbish. I am so over it. Psychological thriller books used to be my favorite but they are getting tedious now.
