Rental and Utility Assistance Our Advocacy Director helps clients with rental and utility assistance, to keep people in their homes and keep the lights on.
After School Program Our After School Program assists elementary school students with their homework, Scholarship Program Years later our Scholarship Program rewards the After School Program students with funds for college.
Birthday and Holiday gifts Open Door provides birthday gifts for the children of regular clients, ages 6 to 16, who live within our service area. Holiday gifts are made available to those same families, for ages newborn to 17.
Senior Treats Our homebound Seniors receive special treat bags on holidays.
Delivery Program The delivery program services clients who cannot get to Open Door.

Our Advocacy Program
We all need to support the social work profession as it addresses issues our nation faces—including the need for more mental health services providers.
People become social workers because they have a strong desire to help others. Social workers have a hearty sense of social justice and follow a Code of Ethics that calls on them to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people. They are particularly attuned to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty.
Social workers are uniquely qualified to help people in their own environment, by looking at all the aspects of their life and cultures. They work to ensure your personal well-being, to prevent crises, to counsel individuals and families, and to help build strong communities.

I have been a client at Open Door for a very long time so I know Erika as long as she has been there. She started helping me personally when I became homebound. Now she calls me every month to see how I am doing, and to arrange for groceries to be delivered. She is such a nice person, very kind and always looking to help in any way.
I'm so grateful for Erika and Open Door, she has been a constant in my life. Every month I receive food for myself and for my dog. He's like my child, and buddy, lol, sometimes the only one I talk with during my days and evenings. Thank you again, it's all greatly appreciated, God bless.

My son and I moved here 4 years ago. I had used all of my money to move here for medical reasons. We had no food or any way of getting food at the time. I was given information about Open Door and was placed in the hands of Erika. That was the best thing for me and my son who has special needs. I thank God and Erika along with Open Door for helping us all of this time because we are still in need of help. My son and I thank and bless all of you.
