Warm weather is finally here, Des Moines. And restaurants around the city are decorating and opening their patios so you can enjoy al fresco dining all summer long.

We scoured the culinary map of the metro for all the new patios in Des Moines for you to check out in the weeks ahead. And we included a list of old standbys to help you remember places you'll want to be sure to revisit.

Here's a peek at the new patios of Des Moines for the 2019 summer season:

165 American Sports Bar & Grill

Enjoy plenty of food and drink specials on the new patio of this sports bar in West Des Moines. Feast on appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings, pizzas and burgers while rooting for your favorite team.

1908 Draught House

1908 Draught House opened its Norwalk location on Thursday, March 7.

With the recent opening of 1908 Draught House in Norwalk, there are now five outdoor patios available from this restaurant group in the Des Moines metro. Nibble on loaded tots and onion rings while sipping on a wide selection of beer and cocktails.

Al Punto Argentine Restaurant

The tabletop grill at Al Punto, called a brasero or parrillada, on which chargrilled meats and vegetables are kept warm.

The outdoor patio will be a great place to enjoy the chargrilled meats and vegetables that constitute dinner at this Argentinian restaurant in Windsor Heights. Try appetizers of Russian potatoes with shrimp and deviled eggs with a salmon salad while sipping on your favorite beer or wine.

Bistro Nomad

Bistro Nomad is the newest David Baruthio restaurant to join the eateries located around Pappajohn Sculpture Park, serving Mediterranean food inspired by Spain, Morocco, Greece and Italy. Order up some seafood paella to share while sipping on a refreshing fresh juice cocktail. Or go for something light like burrata salad with pomegranate or tomato-roasted cod with potato, olives and lemon.

Butcher's BBQ & Brews

Butcher's BBQ and Brews opened in July 2018 in Des Moines.

Butcher's features Texas-style smoked meats flavored with dry rubs and hickory wood blend, including brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork and sausage. Enjoy a full bar with eight beers on tap, bourbon cocktails and Shiner Bock.

Central Standard Craft Beer & Burgers

A burger and milkshake from Central Standard Burgers, Beer & Stuff.

Ever since Central Standard Craft Beer & Burgers — a popular Bettendorf restaurant — opened its second location at 1222 S.E. University Ave. in Waukee, it's been generating a lot of buzz for several reasons. Fourteen burgers grace the menu and make for a difficult time choosing one. Be sure to cool off with one of Central Standard's creatively concocted milkshakes, overflowing with candies, cookies, sauces and sprinkles.

The Chicken Orilla

The Chicken in Orilla is set up to look like a classic roadhouse joint.

The Chicken opened along the Great Western Trail in tiny Orilla Township. Menu items include fried, broasted and spicy chicken dishes, five chicken sandwiches, Nashville-style hot chicken, tacos, fajitas and appetizers. Cool off in the spacious outdoor patio.

Django

New location for Django at 1420 Locust Street Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, Des Moines, Iowa. Django closed in the Hotel Fort Des Moines in February and will reopen in a new space at 14th and Locust.

This longtime Des Moines favorite French food emporium recently relocated to a row of restaurants facing Pappajohn Sculpture Park, boasting a fresh new patio for the warmer months. Diners can kick back with some duck frites, poutine or a fresh blue crab Louie salad with Bibb lettuce, boiled egg, asparagus, green olives, chives and roasted red pepper. Or go for an order of classic moules (mussels) frites and lobster spaghetti.

Ernie's Boondock

Ernie's Boondock makes it debut at 440 E. Grand Ave. at 3 p.m. Friday.

Enjoy greasy, diner-style burgers and fries served from a renovated 1972 Winnebago. The RV will be parked outside on the 3,000-square-foot patio in the warmer months with picnic tables for outdoor seating. It has old-school, domestic beers such as Schmidt's, Old Milwaukee and Old Style in cans and Schlitz on tap.

Five19 Restaurant & Bar

The patio at Five19 Restaurant & Bar is one of the newest to join the al fresco dining roundup for 2019.

Five19 opened in September 2018 and is named after the owners' wedding date. Open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, dine on approachable American food and comfort classics like hand-battered onion rings and spicy tots, traditional and boneless wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches — including hand-breaded pork tenderloin, entrees and desserts. Papa Keno's

The Riverwalk Hub

The Grilled Cheese sandwich with smoked gouda, provolone, Swiss, mushrooms, roasted red peppers and stone ground mustard from Riverwalk Hub.

An unobstructed view of the Des Moines River and East Village skyline greets diners who discover this patio space at The Riverwalk Hub. Lunch consists of panini-pressed sandwiches and fresh pastries. Or stop in for a happy hour and nibble away on a charcuterie tray with wine and Iowa craft beers.

Smash Park

Smash Park, an an activity-based restaurant and bar Aug. 14, 2018.

With one of the largest patios in the state by square footage, Smash Park is a great place to relax and unwind after showing off your competitive side from playing one of the numerous games both inside and outside of the building. Enjoy a meal or snack from Court 7, the in-house chef-driven restaurant, or sip on a giant shareable mule. And Smash Park just opened an ice cream shop just in time for summer — serving homemade Homer’s ice cream, boozy shakes and floats.

Tangerine at the Art Center

The patio at Tangerine at the Art Center is open for an elegant lunch in the sculpture garden with its reflective pool. Elevated fare can be enjoyed with wine during warm summer days. Look for special afternoon and evening events in the months ahead.

Teddy Maroon's

The new patio at Teddy Maroon's is ready for summer diners.

This new neighborhood bar on Ingersoll Avenue is the place to be this summer for refreshing cocktails and mule flights. Enjoy lunch, brunch and dinner including corn flake encrusted chicken tenders, fresh salads, burgers and more. Try the blistered shishito peppers with salt and lime.

Union 29

Union 29 is a new restaurant at Jordan Creek Town Center near Cinemark 20. It features Midwestern inspired dishes and local craft beers.

This American tavern with Midwest-inspired dishes recently opened in the Jordan Creek area featuring an approachable menu and an outdoor patio space that's perfect for a mimosa or a bloody mary. Enjoy lunch, brunch and dinner seven days a week, including dishes like chicken and donuts with crispy chicken wings, mini donuts, hot maple glaze and powdered sugar or pressed chicken with smoked corn succotash, bacon, fresh herb butter and baby potatoes.

Vino209 Wine Cafe

New to the roundup of patios in Des Moines for 2019 is the outdoor space at Vino209 in West Des Moines.

This new patio is expected to be popular with bicyclists who visit Valley Junction after trekking nearby recreational trails. Vino 209's executive chef, Andrew Phelps, will be preparing food and wine specials to celebrate the wine cafe's new feature. In addition to the new patio is an updated menu that includes flatbreads with unique ingredients including Maytag Bleu Cheese and Swede Pointe Fresh Cheese. Be sure to cool off with Vino209's new wine slushies.
