Meet the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future Spring 2024 Fellows cohort. Our Fellows spend the semester leading study groups, as well as hosting office hours, roundtable discussions, and dozens of bi-partisan CPF political conversations and conferences throughout the year.

Douglas Brinkley

Douglas Brinkley is the Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair in Humanities and Professor of History at Rice University.

His study group, “America in Political and Environmental Crisis: History Lessons and Policy Solutions,” is on Thursdays from 4-6PM.

Jane Coaston

Ron Galperin

Ron Galperin is the former Controller and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Los Angeles.

His study group, “Age-Old Problems, Modern Day Solutions: Innovations That Can Transform Government and Address Some of Our Biggest Challenges,” is on Wednesdays from 3-5PM.

Tim Miller

Tim Miller is a political consultant and served as the Jeb Bush 2016 Presidential Campaign Director.

His study group, “How the Republican Party Shifted to Trump and MAGA Populism,” is on Thursdays from 2-3:30PM.

Michael Tubbs

Michael Tubbs is the Special Advisor to Governor Gavin Newsom (CA) on Economic Mobility and Opportunity and the former Mayor of the City of Stockton.

His study group, “Being a Mayor in the 21st Century — The Room Where it Happens (At Least Locally),” is on Tuesdays from 4-6PM.

Shannon Watts

Shannon Watts is the Founder Emerita of Moms Demand Action.

Her study group, “Building a Movement to End Gun Violence and Enact Social Change,” is on Wednesdays from 5-7PM.
