With today being the start of Phase 1 of Florida’s re-opening, some local attractions in Orlando have started to open their doors.

According to the guidelines set forth by Governor Ron DeSantis’ re-opening plan, restaurants, gyms, recreation, and retail are allowed to reopen under specified social distancing guidelines. Because of this, it is now safe for some local attractions to re-open, including:

Old Town

Old Town in Kissimmee, Fla. is starting to reopen its offerings. Restaurants that were previously doing take-out and delivery will now allow an interior capacity of 25 percent. At some locations, outdoor seating will be provided with at least six feet between tables. Retail locations will also open with strict 25-percent interior occupancy levels at all times.

Business hours during Phase 1 are limited to 12-9 p.m. to allow for additional daily cleaning measures overnight and before the property opens. Old Town will regularly sanitize high-touch areas like tables, benches, restrooms, hand railings, vending machines and doorknobs. All merchants at the destination are required to follow sanitation guidelines throughout the day and after closing to ensure customer safety.

Since Osceola County requires everyone to wear masks or facial coverings while out in public, Old Town employees will wear masks while working and will take breaks to wash and sanitize hands frequently.

For now, guests visiting Old Town and its attractions and offerings get to park for free seven days a week.

The Escape Game Orlando

The Escape Game on International Drive in Orlando is open once again, but with new safety protocols to allow guests to enjoy the attraction in a safe way:

  • Disinfecting between each game
  • Contactless check-in
  • All private experiences
  • Game adjustments to remove high-touch elements
  • Employees will remain six feet away from guests and wear face coverings

  • Employees wearing face masks and gloves, and completing health screenings that include temperature checks before the beginning of all shifts
  • Select games have been shut down and some tables have been removed to encourage social distancing
  • Gloves are being offered to guests who would prefer to use them to play games
  • Additional sanitizing stations have been placed throughout the store
  • All menus will be disposable and one-time use only

  1. End times!!!!!! Read the Bible. Hollywood is satanism yet it controls society and government while Christianity is forced out. Prayer and repentance not panic. Soul washing with faith in Jesus not just hand washing. God bless.

    1. Statements like the above do more harm than good for Christanity. No one has ever been saved because someone someone else yelled End Times!! in their face. Read the Bible, yes. Have faith in God, yes. Believe in Jesus and his gospel of good news, absolutely. Scare people with Satanism, never.
