Korir Runs Second Best American Half Marathon Ever in India

Despite the high pollution levels, the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon went on as scheduled. Finishing in a strong third place was American Leonard Korir.

RESULTS

Korir ran 59:52 to become the second American to break the hour mark for the half marathon. He is now just nine seconds off Ryan Hall's American record from 2007.

The winner of the men's race was Birhanu Legese of Ethiopia. He finished in 59:46. The women's race was won by Ethiopia's Almaz Ayana in her half marathon debut in 1:07:11.
