Jeep Compass Technology

Jeep Compass Technology

The 2021 Jeep Compass is ready for anything, from the streets of Chicago, Skokie, Park Ridge, or Forest Park, IL, to the great outdoors. On top of off-roading capabilities, the Compass also has a wealth of technology, from connectivity to safety.

To give you a look at some of the technology the Jeep Compass has to offer, Marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has put together this technology review. Give it a read to learn more!

Compass Interior Technology

Jeep Compass Interior TechnologyThere is plenty of technology inside the Compass’s cabin to make your drives not only more pleasant but also more convenient. The Compass comes standard with an infotainment system powered by Uconnect® 4 and has a 7-inch touchscreen display.

The infotainment system lets you do a variety of things. If you want access to your smartphone’s music, navigation, and other favorite apps, link it up through Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™.

You even get standard Bluetooth® capabilities, so you can make phone calls and stream music hands-free. With Bluetooth®, you also get integrated voice command, so there is no pressing of buttons to find the right contact, just the sound of your voice.

On higher-level trims of the Jeep Compass, you get access to even more technology, particularly in the infotainment center. The screen increases to 8.4-inches and is powered by the Uconnect® 4C NAV system. With this infotainment center, you get everything we talked about above, but you also get Sirius XM Radio Service, Sirius XM Traffic Plus and Travel Link, and in-vehicle navigation.

Driver-Assist and Safety Technology

Jeep Compass Driver Assist

So you can stay safe and have peace of mind on the road, the new Jeep Compass has a wealth of standard and available driver-assist and safety technologies.

To help you back into that perfect spot or back out of your driveway, the Compass comes standard with a ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera. The Parkview® Rear Back-Up Camera has dynamic grid lines to help you when you reverse. Combine this with the available Rear Cross Path Detection System, and you’ll get an alert to vehicles that are passing behind you while backing up.

When the unexpected happens, the Latitude trim level and up has the standard Full-Speed Forward-Collision Warning-Plus. If your Compass senses an accident, it will alert you and ready the brakes. If you don’t react in time, your Compass will apply braking pressure for you and can even come to a complete stop.

Outside the Compass Connection

Jeep Compass Exterior TechThe Compass also has technology that allows you to access certain aspects of the Compass from outside the vehicle. You can do this through the Uconnect® App on your smartphone. With this app, you can remote start your engine and even pick a temperature, so your Compass is the right temperature when you get in.

If you’ve had a long day and aren’t sure where you parked your Compass in the garage, no problem. Use your smartphone’s Vehicle Finder to get directions to your Compass.
