    Gunvor Tops in Pakistan LNG Tender

Gunvor Tops in Pakistan LNG Tender

Swiss Gunvor has submitted the most competitive bids for five of the six LNG cargoes that Pakistan LNG (PLL) is looking to source during July and August, a tender document uploaded on PLL’s website June 20 showed. Vitol offered the lowest bid for one cargo.

Gunvor bid for all six cargoes while Vitol put in bids for three cargoes. Trafigura submitted bids for two cargoes, the document showed. Gunvor’s most competitive bids were for deliveries on July 8-9, July 19-20, July 29-30, August 8-9 and August 13-14 with offers, as a percentage of Brent, of 15.9247%, 15.9247%, 17.1327%, 16.9247% and 16.9247%, respectively. Vitol bid for the cargo with delivery on August 23-24 with offer of 15.7172% of Brent.

Pakistan has two operation terminals, both at Port Qasim near Karachi. Pakistan's first LNG import venture became operational in March 2015, with Exquisite on charter from US shipowner Excelerate at Port Qasim, near Karachi, providing the infrastructure. The second terminal, also at Port Qasim, became operational last year.
