These strategies are not only used by us here at turnkey website hub, influencers and marketers are using these and this is a really good start so sit back and read this.
1. Rethink Your Keyword Strategy
We’ll start simple. If you’re at all familiar with SEO, then you know that the keywords you select are a vital part of connecting you with your target market.
Keywords are the phrases that potential customers type into search engines when they’re looking for the products and services you offer.
You can find these keywords by using a free keyword finder tool.
But just including them in your content isn’t enough.
Nor is it a good idea to engage in what’s known as “keyword stuffing” — cramming your webpage or blog post with your keywords 50 times. Doing this will lower you in the rankings.
However, you do need to make sure to include your keywords in your headings, HTML tags, and even image file descriptions.
Also, look into including longer, location-based keywords in your content.
Why?
Because huge companies (think the top 50 brands in the world) will have already claimed the most basic keywords, like “shoes” or “home improvement.” But if you include a keyword like “home improvement shop Omaha Nebraska,” you’ll get customers who are looking for you.
2. Put User Navigation Front and Center
You can spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars crafting the perfect Search engine optimization campaign. Even if it attracts visitors to your site, if it’s impossible to navigate, you’re not going to see an increase in your conversions.
When you’re creating a campaign, you need to ensure that your website is intuitive. This can include basic things like including your contact information on every page and having a drop-down menu at both the top and bottom on your homepage.
It’s also a good idea to use clear, concise language to describe what your internal pages are all about. For example, let’s say you’re selling organic body lotion, that comes in four different scents.
Instead of lumping all four products on the same page, forcing users to scroll and navigate until they find the scent they want, you need to create 4 separate pages for each product option.
Then, you’ll need to clearly indicate where to find these 4 products in a drop-down menu.
Having a site that’s easy to navigate won’t just help customers to buy more products. It will also impact your SEO rankings. This is because you’ll see a lower “bounce rate” (people who click on your site and then, shortly afterwards, click away from it.)
You’ll also increase your site’s “dwell time,” or the amount of time a user spends on it. The higher your average visitor’s dwell time, the higher you’ll rise in search engine rankings.
3. Use Influencer Marketing
Think fast: who are the biggest names in your industry? Which social media accounts does everyone you know follow?
These people are influencers, AKA people, bloggers, and social media personalities with lots of followers.
With a post about your brand, they have the power to influence your target market to buy your products, by endorsing them in an official or unofficial capacity.
Reach out to them and see if they’d be willing to do a guest post on what you offer!
4. Include Reputable Links In Your Content
You’ve probably heard the term “link-building” before. Essentially, the idea is to have reputable, popular sites include links to your own website in their content.
It also means that you need to link to relevant, authoritative sites in your own content. Google will take notice if a link isn’t relevant, and it will cause you to fall in the rankings. Always make sure any links you include relate to the content at hand — and statistics are always a good idea!
However, you do need to make sure that you’re not linking to your competition (obviously.)
Finally, make sure you link back to previous blog posts and product pages on your own site. This is called “internal ranking.”
5. Join the Conversation
If you want to let the world know about your site, you’ve got to put yourself out there!
One of the ways you can do this?
Comment on other industry blogs, websites, and social media accounts. Even write articles for industry sites! This isn’t just a great way to prove yourself as an authority in your industry.
It will also help you to get more hits to your page. Each time you leave a comment, always include a link back to your blog.
6. Vary Your Content
Keep in mind different parts of your market will hang out on different parts of the web. Some might spend hours on Instagram, others on Facebook, and still others on your brand’s blog.
Make sure that you’re giving equal attention to a variety of online platforms — both websites and social media. This won’t just ensure that your SEO campaign reaches a broader market.
Search engines also take your social media presence into consideration when determining your ranking factor.
7. Blog About It
Any SEO campaign is strengthened by blogging.
And since over 70% of marketers say they’ll do more of it this year, you need to do it often to see the impact.
First of all, blog comment highly shareable on social media, meaning more eyes on your content. This will allow you to get to know and directly engage with potential customers. You’ll also get a feel for how they behave online.
Blogging also gives you a natural way to include your keywords — which will help you rise in the rankings. Also, Google will take notice and index your site as being “frequently updated” — so you can continue to climb.
