London’s Quirkiest Homes!

The 25th Anniversary of Open House London is taking place this weekend – so we’re celebrating London’s architectural wonders as the doors open to hundreds of buildings and spaces around the capital.

Open House is a free event giving you access to more than 800 different properties – letting you explore iconic buildings that are not usually open to the public – giving you the opportunity to learn more about familiar spaces and step into the private homes of the rich and famous.

Obviously we couldn’t miss out on the fun and we don’t want you to either, so if you aren’t heading to London this weekend, then you can still enjoy some of the quirkiest properties across the UK capital right here on Rightmove.

First up we have this truly unique 1860’s Victorian Laundry house.

Despite looking tiny from the outside, this house actually comprises 3 bedrooms, two roof terraces and a garden and is in close proximity to an abundance of shops and restaurants making it a real gem in the ever popular Brackenbury Village.

This 3 bedroom property might be of an acquired taste, but there’s no denying that it is truly fabulous.

The kitchen has more than a hint of chic nightclub about it, but this isn’t where it ends, venturing further into the home you soon realise that the interconnected reception and dining room is just as stylish.

This remarkable two-storey house in Hampstead offers many period features, loft-like rooms and plenty of natural light throughout.

One of the most intriguing parts of the property is the light filled conservatory.

This stunning arts and crafts building  is currently arranged as two units and offers wonderful proportions and light throughout, giving it the potential to be a magnificent home.

The open plan reception room and kitchen are arranged over the second floor with a separate guest cloakroom.

The house sits on one corner of the square, which used to be the site of The Cannon Brewery. The soft red brick, stone dressings and bracket clock give this impressive house in Clerkenwell real stature.

The accommodation is spread over four floors and really combines historical architecture with modern living.

Last but not least we have this beautiful home set within this colourful cobbled stoned mews in Central London.

The property has been well designed, using a variety of patterns and colours to accentuate the quirky exterior.
