Making it easier for people to support businesses on Instagram

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses and people around the world are facing a new reality. To help small businesses during this challenging time, we are introducing new ways for people to support them by discovering their gift cards, food ordering options and fundraisers on Instagram.

Now, businesses can get set up with selected partners and use new interactive Stories stickers with their own Stories content to drive awareness of these new ways in which people can support them. They'll be able to share links to their offerings using a "Gift card" or "Food orders" Stories sticker, which will be available in their sticker tray. Supporters can also re-share these stickers in their own stories to help spread the word.

Businesses can also add a Gift Cards, Order Food or Donate button to their Instagram profile. By tapping an Instagram profile button, people will be taken to the business' chosen platform to complete their purchase.

To use the new Stories sticker and profile button options, an Instagram business or creator account is required. For step-by-step instructions on how to get set up, visit our Help Centre articles on gift cards and food orders.

To start a fundraiser and use the Donate button, business owners or a supporter will need to first create a personal fundraiser on Facebook and then input that link on Instagram. A fundraiser can also be easily shared from Facebook to Instagram Stories to reach more supporters. This must be done from the Facebook app. Learn more in the Facebook Help Centre.

We're excited to roll these features out to businesses over the coming weeks. At Instagram, we're always focused on giving businesses new ways to connect with their customers. With these features, businesses can continue to serve their communities and garner support during this challenging time.
