WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A friend of the man killed in a shooting in the Jungle Rapids parking lot Wednesday night was the first to call 911.

"My friend just got shot. My friend just got shot. We're at Jungle Rapids," the man can be heard saying in the 911 call.

Christopher Tyler White, 19, of Wilmington, was killed in the shooting.

"He got shot. He got shot. Dude pulled out a gun and shot him," the caller told dispatch. "Yeah, he's awake. It's not good though. It's not good."

The caller can be heard trying to comfort White during the call.

The dispatch worker then asked the caller if the assailant was still nearby.

"No, he left," he said. "In a white car, Left. They left in a white car."

The caller then hung up.
