Part of Richland County under boil water advisory

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – The City of Columbia Water Works division is advising the water customers in an area of Richland County to boil their water.
The affected area includes Pinestraw Road, from Two Notch Road to Circle Dr., including Holiday Ct. and Magnolia Ct.
The advisory comes after the City experienced an eight-inch main break. This could possibly result in bacterial contamination of the water on Pinestraw Rd., Holiday Ct. and Magnolia Park Ct.
The division is currently working to fix the problem.
All food processors and restaurants should comply with prescribed USDA and SC DHEC recommendations, respectively. Should you have any questions pertaining to this advisory, please call the Lexington/Richland County Environmental Services at 896-0620. Restaurants and Hotels only may contact the SC Restaurant and Lodging Association at 765-9000.
