The Gout Killer News!

Do you have a particular food that you are absolutely CONVINCED is the cause of your gout?  I have one gout guy who is absolutely sure it's MUSHROOMS!

Maybe for some individuals, mushrooms really do have some way that it can trigger gout - we are all biochemically unique and different.  However, I often think that all the crap on the internet about spinach and cauliflower and asparagus and a million other things causing gout just confuses the heck out of everybody.
First of all, mushrooms are some pretty nutrient dense foods if you get them from the right source.  And they do have some purine content, but here's what you need to know:

The cell membrane of every cell, of every plant, animal, or human being, contains purines.  Protein foods like meats or beans, have more.

But as far as good healthy vegetables and fungi are concerned, you have to eat a veritable buttload of them to really push yourself over the edge and get a gout attack.

Which bring me to my second point of education today:

We need to stop blaming the food and take responsibility for the fact that we've abused and neglected our bodies to the point that now when we eat a little too much of this or that, we end up with a gout attack. ...it's not the food's fault!

Back to mushrooms.

Today we have the good fortune that gout killer Jeff has helped us out with some very enlightening information about the health benefits of mushrooms.  I kind of wrapped this post around all his wise words - check it out - click over and this is a little bit of what you will get:

  * mushrooms are neither plant nor animal...
  * ...used for medicinal purposes for 1000s of years...
  * ...can be very high in Vitamin D...

Maybe using some specific mushrooms in your #killgout food routine will help bolster your health and change your relationship with gout...  ....maybe.

Question for you: "Do You Live in Fear of Mushrooms?"

...ABSOLUTELY! The scare the crap out of me!
...I wouldn't go pick them myself!
...Mushrooms are my friend, we hang out often!

It would be great to hear from you...  Mushrooms or whatever - what foods do you think give you gout?

Thanks for being here - your support makes all the difference!
