Repaving, drainage project progressing in Pine Valley

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officials with the city of Wilmington said a $2.2 million project to repave and improve drainage in the Pine Valley area is progressing.

According to officials, crews are currently installing new drainage to portions of Semmes and RL Honeycutt drives. The roadways will be repaved once that work has been completed.

Crews have already finished adding drainage improvements and repaving Donald E. Gore Drive.

A total of 2.8 lane miles worth of repaving will be done for this project, which is part of the city's 5-year infrastructure improvement plan.

This Pine Valley project and will wrap up by the end of the year.
