NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK

This week marks the 25th Anniversary of National Public Health Week (NPHW)! We are in the midst of the most challenging public health crisis of our lifetimes. The COVID-19 pandemic means public health is the topic of the day worldwide.

COVID-19 is also causing heightened levels of stress. In particular, isolation and quarantine can be highly stressful. As can separation from loved ones, both near and far. Reach out by calling or video chatting a loved one.

Click on the NPHW 2020 graphic above for the CDC's tips on managing anxiety and stress.

CDC RECOMMENDS USE OF FACE MASKS
The CDC has recommended all Americans wear cloth face coverings (masks) in public to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Click on the face mask picture for additional guidance and care of your mask. (Note - please do not litter any PPE (masks/gloves) in parking lots for others to dispose)
MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are working with Knox Community Hospital to bring in volunteer medical professionals to help locally with the coronavirus pandemic. If you are a current or retired doctor, nurse, assistant, or other medical professional and want to help, please contact us at info@knoxhealth.com. Stay tuned for updates later in the week.
