One man injured in Sunday night home invasion in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington police are investigating an armed home invasion over the weekend that left one man injured.

According to officials, the incident happened in the 2100 block of Holly Drive around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

The victims told police that two suspects forced themselves into a home, brandishing a gun and demanding money from a safe.

The suspects shot at one of the victims, striking him in the hand. The bullet also grazed the victim's chin after exiting his hand.

Police officials said the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the victims.

Both suspects are believed to be 19 or 20 years old and weighing between 120-130 pounds. They were wearing white t-shirts, blue jeans, and face masks.
