Hong Kong police arrest man over Tin Shui Wai sex attack
Suspect thought to have met his alleged victim online
Hong Kong police on Monday morning arrested a man over an alleged rape at a flat in Tin Shui Wai.
It was understood the victim met the suspect online.
The 25-year-old woman called police at about 8pm on Sunday, reporting the attack. She was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for a medical examination.
Police arrested the man on Monday morning. They said the victim knew the suspect, 29, and was thought to have been raped in a Tin Shui Road flat.
In a separate incident on the same night, a man indecently assaulted a 25-year-old woman on a footbridge on Yuk Wah Street, Wong Tai Sin, at about 11pm. He fled the scene before police arrived. Officers scoured the area but made no arrests.

Police said the man was fat, aged between 20 and 30, with short hair. He was wearing an orange top, dark trousers and white shoes and carrying a black bag when he struck.
The attacks came shortly after the city recorded an increase in sex crimes for the first half of the year, despite an overall downward trend in recent years.
