The Ethnocultural Family Violence Committee will be hosting Dr. Sujata Warrier.
These are cultural competency training events are specifically designed for frontline workers on September 24, law enforcement and justice on September 25, and natural supporters and translators on September 26.
The trainings will examine 1) ways in which professionals work with those seeking assistance, 2) prevention and intervention strategies that are able to address cultural considerations to family violence without undermining victim rights or justice and 3) work with professionals to strengthen overall responses to family violence.
