It’s a good thing they did because anyone who bought them may lose their vision. There are also a number of ways that you can make a solar eclipse viewer with a shoe box or even a pasta strainer. Do plenty of research on do-it-yourself methods to make sure you are being safe.
Also be sure not to look at an eclipse through a camera lens, telescope or binoculars without these glasses because your eyes can be damaged.
