I've Been Ghosting

I hope you hadn't noticed, but I have a great reason. I've been on a huge learning break. First, I've started a course from problogger, Jon Morrow. If you haven't read his personal story, and you want to be inspired, this is a must read. Heads up- he has muscular dystrophy.

Upshot: I'm learning how to be more service oriented. My goal is still to help hobby bloggers, writers, and photographers. But how is my question. Maybe I should add non-profits to that list. What do you think?

Service at Home

Our 14-acre botanical gardens have come to a crossroad. Directors, Manuel and Olga Jimenez asked me to help. I'm honored to share the administrative load and do what I can to preserve a natural resource. Read about Woodlake's amazing gardens on the way to the Sequoia National Park.
Planning to brainstorm with regional leaders to determine how to save the essence and purpose of the garden has taken time and thoughtful consideration. Botanical gardens require more than a small city or non-profit can provide alone. Want to help?

Have I Forgotten Always Write?

Absolutely not.

The service I provide is to teach you what I'm learning as I blog. This week I went to a seminar to learn about social media and how to get more interaction for our local Kiwanis International Club. Here are 16 tips to boost your own page or group's interactions. I'm trying them. They work!

Featuring Your Book Reviews

Is it indie or indy authors? I've seen it both ways. I'm from Indy, so it makes sense for me to feature self-published authors and their reviews. This past week I featured a review by the author, Colleen Chesebro.

More than ever I'm learning how to respond to the needs of hobby bloggers, indy writers, and amateur photographers. My heart is helping others find their joy in life because they blog. I'm updating work as I learn. Here's a great interview about how blogging helped a principal lose 32 pounds

BTW, if anyone knows why this font changed from the rest, let me know. It seems to have a mind of its own.

Upcoming Events

On the 24th I'm interviewing renown author, Sally Cronin. That post will come out on the 27th.

This summer I've revised and updated So You Think You Can Blog? a book I 've had as a giveaway. It will be coming soon.

What do you think, do I need a new cover? My much-loved friend Ralph took this one. Any suggestions?
