2017 recap: Travis Frederick hasn't missed a down since the Cowboys drafted him in the first round in 2013. He hasn't allowed a sack since 2014, and he rarely allows quarterback hurries or hits. He surrendered just nine hurries -- three hits -- across 1,065 downs in 2017. The performance was enough to earn Frederick his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl berth. He's made the Pro Bowl every year but his first, and even then he cracked the league's All-Rookie team. Frederick's one knock in his stat line misleads, too. One of his two fumbles came on a last-ditch series of pitches against Green Bay. And the Cowboys didn't lose the ball on the other fumbled snap to quarterback Dak Prescott, that one against the Chargers. Advanced analytics site Pro Football Focus graded Frederick the second-best center in the league, behind only Eagles center Jason Kelce. He excelled in both pass and run blocking, opening up significant lanes for Ezekiel Elliott and Rod Smith in the run game.

Oh, and even Dez Bryant said this touchdown against the Cardinals belonged to Frederick:

2018 outlook: Frederick will again keep Dallas' offensive line in check in 2018, coordinating communication between linemen, Prescott and the run game in hopes of returning Prescott's protection and performance to 2016 levels. Frederick will benefit from fellow Pro Bowl talent along the line in left tackle Tyron Smith and right guard Zack Martin, both of whom are locked up long term like Fredrick after Martin signed his extension in June. Right tackle La'el Collins should continue performing for Dallas, too. The likely new piece of the line comes in Texas Longhorns rookie Connor Williams, whom Dallas drafted in the second round after letting Jonathan Cooper walk in free agency. Many saw Williams as a first-round talent; now the Dallas native will have the chance to learn between linemen who are. Williams is the favorite to start on Frederick's left.
