Artist Statement:
"My paintings are absorbed, introspective and emotional, forming and re-forming themselves.
I use a combination of observed drawing and an unconscious process of building layers of textural surfaces to function in contrast. I have a strong interest in the depiction of my own consciousness.
I am not always sure how I arrive at a finished painting, but I never give up on them. The paintings function as scenes from a dream-like story. There is an element of performance in my painting and through the painting an emotional catharsis." Oliver Lovley
