Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, is headed to The CW's Arrowverse for the network's next big fall crossover, and now, fans can get a peek at some promo art teasing the Gotham City superheroine's impending arrival.

As Arrow star Stephen Amell stood on stage at The CW’s Upfronts Thursday morning to make the announcement, he was backed by a massive poster featuring himself as the Emerald Archer, Melissa Benoist's Supergirl and Grant Gustin's Flash. Behind them, though, shining high in the sky is the unmistakable red Bat-Signal that readers have long associated with Batwoman.

“For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific," Amell said. "The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”

“We are adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse,” Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW, added. “This will be another full-throttled action packed event.”

The modern iteration of Kate Kane/Batwoman first appeared in 52 #7 by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, Keith Giffen and Ken Lashley in 2006. Rather than a love interest of Batman, though, as she had been portrayed in the past, this incarnation of the character was Bruce Wayne's cousin, who's inspired by the Caped Crusader after witnessing him in action.
