Shooting the Fashion Model Portfolio

Come spend the day in a professional photo studio with a full time photographer who specializes in Model Photography. Listen and learn the key ingredients of how to create and capture the three most required portfolio photos for the beginning fashion model. This workshop is full of detailed instruction in a relaxed classroom setting plus a live “student hands on” photo session with one of our top models. Yes… each student will be clicking photos of our model for their own personal portfolio with one-on-one guidance by seasoned photographer - Don Sparks.

This is a 4 hour intensive workshop with plenty of extra time with the Instructor for questions and answers. About half of the workshop will be a hands on demonstration of the studio’s lighting equipment plus a live photo session with one of our favorite models. All students will have access to click photos with their camera of our model for use in their personal portfolios.

Class Requirements: This is a somewhat intermediate photography workshop. Thus attendees should bring and know how to operate their DSLR camera in “manual mode” and “set their ISO”. Make sure to bring a couple of freshly charged camera batteries and 1 or 2 formatted memory cards. Bringing your DSLR is a good idea but not absolutely necessary.

What else should you bring to this workshop? Bring along a notepad and pen to make notes. Feel free to bring along something to snack on. There are lots of restaurant nearby after the workshop.

 *important - A Model’s Release will be given to all attendees granting publishing rights for your personal portfolio use only.  These photos cannot be sold commercially without additional written permission from our model.
