Today we’re excited to learn more about our talented Head of Design, Iurii Ieltsov. Pretty much everything you see across DAV, from our website to our whitepaper, has been touched by lurii. We’re excited to see what creative magic he continues to come up with across the DAV brand.

What’s your role at the DAV Foundation?

Iurii Ieltsov, Head of Design

My responsibilities include the visual language of a project. I make style guides, mobile apps, websites, illustrations and visual ads for DAV.

What does your average workday look like?

I start my work in the morning (just kidding, I never stop thinking about design). I usually study the tasks assigned to me and plan my working day accordingly. During the day I can be distracted by other design tasks that take priority, which is not uncommon.

What do you feel are your greatest challenges in your role?

In my work there is one unique problem… there are only 24 hours in a day.

Tell us a funny, quirky or strange story from work.

All my work is whimsical. I create new meanings.

Who’s your favourite superhero or fictional character, and why?

I like Dr. Strange. He has an ability to control reality which is amazing. My work is similar to the ability Dr Strange possess (Cinema 3D helps me with this).

What gets you excited about DAV?

I really like the idea of fast delivery. I’m a big believer that the future for autonomous transport will help people be closer to each other. I’m excited to help shape this reality.
