Star Wars-Themed Attraction and Hotel Coming to Walt Disney World

Star Wars fans cannot wait for the new themed land to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney recently released a sneak peek at what guests can expect from the new land.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open in 2019, and will include a full-sized fleet of X-wing star fighters and a life-size Millennium Falcon starship.

Guests will also enjoy two attractions that “allow guests to have control of their experiences.”

Disney says one attraction will put guests in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance, inside a Star Destroyer.

In the other attraction, guests will have the chance to interact with Chewie, BB8 and members of the First Order.

But Disney isn’t stopping there – they’re creating a Star Wars-themed hotel, to provide a full 360 Star Wars experience for the ultimate fan.

The hotel will be seamlessly connected to the themed land in Hollywood Studios. Disney says the new luxury resort will completely immerse guests in an authentic Star Wars story.

“The journey begins the moment guests arrive, as everyone boards a starship and departs together for a multi-day Star Was adventure,” according to a press release from Walt Disney World.

An opening date for the new hotel has not been announced.
