Sail through history aboard the full-size reconstruction of the famous Elizabethan galleon. The first English ship to circumnavigate the Globe.

Now docked right by London Bridge and Borough Market: we're open for visitors, school activities, concerts, private events and children's birthday parties.

Accessibility

The ship is not currently accessible for wheelchair users or visitors with mobility impairments. Please note there are steep stairs on the ship and low ceilings.

Covid Information

The Golden Hinde has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines. 

Procedures are in place to responsibly social distance visitors and staff.

Our ship has numerous outdoor areas and natural ventilation: as well as a HEPA-standard ventilation system. All surfaces are regularly cleaned.

By tube

We are within walking distance from a number of London Underground stations, the closest is London Bridge, Borough and Monument. To plan your journey and for up to date travel information, visit the TfL website.

By mainline train

The nearest train stations are London Bridge, Cannon Street, Blackfriars and Waterloo. Book train tickets with Trainline.

By bus

Buses stopping nearby are 17, 21, 35, 40, 43, 47, 48, 133, 141, 149, 343, 381, 344, 521, RV1.

By river

London Bridge City Pier (6 minutes walk) and Bankside Pier (8 minutes walk). Thames Clippers serves both piers.   

By bicycle

Cycle parking is available in the area. The nearest Santander Cycles docking stations are Duke Street Hill, London Bridge and Park Street, Bankside. Plan your journey on TfL Cycling in London.

By car

We encourage visitors to travel by public transport as parking in the local area is restricted. The Golden Hinde is inside the congestion charge zone. The daily charge applies between 7am – 10pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Parking is available at Kipling Street, London Bridge.
