Goose: A New Kind of Play

One of our most exciting projects of late came in the form of Goose in Harrogate. The lovely people of Goose came to us wanting to create an innovative new play space that focused on exploratory and imaginative play - and we were more than willing to offer our services.

Of course there's nothing new about a cafe providing a bit of play, but Goose have achieved something quite different; offering not only great play for the children that visit, but a wonderful environment and food for the adults too.

We designed the 'Arial Play' area for 4-10 year olds. It features a beanstalk to climb, nets for bouncing and balancing and a slide to whoosh down on.

Younger visitors can visit 'The Cubby' and climb, swing and slide onto the soft grass. There are soft pebbles for them to play in too.

We also designed and manufactured these reading pods in a stylish mustard yellow, where children of all ages can tuck in to a good book.

This project is a stellar example of how play can be both stylish and fun, something we try to achieve in each and every one of our unique play spaces. Browse our gallery to see more examples of our work.

Goose opened on January 8th 2018 and received rave reviews from its visitors. Sadly, Goose closed its door permanently in 2020.
