Android app simplified for lazy coders!

Hi there, I have a request: A friend of mine absolutely needs to make an android app but he doesn't know about Java nor have the time to learn it Therefore he is looking for the best way to make an app without getting into the trouble of what's going on behind the scene and all. He already tried few ideas such as converting a web page into an app but none of what he did until now had worked There is a constraint though: he needs the app to be able to play audio files hosted online. Thanks a lot :')

Hi QuentinJanuel 👋, if he already tried the web way then your friend could use Codename One plugin with NetBeans to create an Android, iOS or Windows app. He would only need a computer, learn a few things about using NetBeans and then just make clicks. Here's the website: https://www.codenameone.com/gallery.html Here's an introduction video: https://youtu.be/r6VO3zaBJGY And I'd recommend him doing a short course in Coursera called "CODAPPS: Coding mobile apps for entrepreneurs" where the instructor explains how to make apps using Codename One. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your recommendations However I was a bit confusing in my post since, I didn't mean he doesn't know how to code. He knows C, JavaScript, Python and others. He simply does not know Java nor any "similar" language such as C#. And as he must make the app quickly he doesn't have the time yet to learn Java, but this doesn't imply he's reduced to programming by blocks! Also I don't have his feedbacks on your suggestions yet so this is likely that @Paola already suggested what he needed: a non headaching tool which doesn't require much involvement! Thank you all anyway, I'll keep this thread up to date :')

...tha ...thank you for the spam dear POTD... *^*'' Hey everyone, may I let you know that just because this thread is post of the day doesn't mean you have to comment it with anything like "test my games", "hello", "congrats for POTD", ... It just slowly converged into a mess of spams ...and eggs :^) Yes, all of your answers are greatly appreciated, but not when they are duplicates of others or off-topic... in other words: when they don't bring anything new ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Worry not, I still love you all, I suppose... ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ All of that being said, I was only adressing to a few of you. Many comments are indeed interesting and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with people requiring it! But to others: don't tell to use Java when I already explained why he can't or stuff like that, thanks @.@

Try MIT AppInventor. I've used it before and it's incredibly easy to use.

Did I seriously get POTD on that? SoloLearn might want to revisit his algorithm for picking posts because this thread was half closed already. I'm pretty sure I don't need help anymore but at the very least now my friend will be spoilt for choice ^^

There are alot of paid tools and services available that enable you create your own mobile application by using drag and drop element with least to non knowledge of backend coding. just refer to mobile app builder on google and you will get some cool solutions.

Just try block coding. So he don't need to understand coding. TRY THUNKABLE or SKETCHWARE (both is free)
