This vow renewal Katy styled shoot is the perfect mix of opposing styles. It's both dark and moody while being vibrant and colorful and I just love it! Vanessa of Portraits of Blessings was the mastermind behind the concept of this stunning styled shoot. She reached out to a recently married couple about having professional photographs done for their anniversary, and of course, they jumped at the opportunity. Then she went out and gathered some of the best Houston-area vendors to pull together this gorgeous shoot. After delighting in these images, hop on over to the gallery for even more goodness!

From Portraits of Blessings...Alethea and Joland are friends of mine and they met five years ago through other mutual friends. Two years ago they couldn't wait any longer and went to the court house and got married. They never did the traditional wedding thing, and when I had a vision for a stylized vow renewal... Alethea and Joland popped in my head immediately. Because I know they are madly in love, because I know they would be a ton of fun, and I knew they'd be stoked to celebrate their wedding anniversary with professional photos. They were beyond thrilled and said it was a dream to get dolled up with Megan M Artistry and Bravo Tux to document their love before they start their family. Their personalities are dark and beautiful and I narrowed down a venue to compliment them. No Label Brewing in Katy, Texas. They're famous for their delicious brews and the once abandoned rice silos on their property. They made for the perfect urban background combined with the most awesome blooms from Flower Vibes, details by Sarah Lydia Events and Lavish Linens. Not to mention calligraphy by Joyful Ink, unique chairs by Aztec Rentals, and the most delicious fuchsia cake by Monchou Sweets. Our cheeks hurt by the end of the evening, we had so many laughs. It was a joy working with these artists I call my peers, and these sweethearts I call my friends.
