The first step is marbling the paper; start by filling a shallow dish with about 2 inches of water, then pour in a small amount of nail posh (use two or three for best effect)
Once the colours have begun to blend together, place the paper on top of the water and leave for ten seconds, before hanging out to dry
Once the paper has dried, draw round your template with a pencil (you can get these online or by drawing round an old cracker)
Either cut out the paper with scissors, or using a cutting mat and scalpel
You'll also need equipment including craft glue, cracker gifts, double-sided tape and accessories for decorating.

Make sure the glue has fully dried, seal the bottom end of your cracker and add in the hat, joke and gifts before decorating with a ribbon and any added extras
Next, glue the snap inside the cracker and while it dries, write your joke and make a paper crown out of tissue paper.
