Germany-Wide On-Base Outage For 30 Minutes: Tuesday, 31 July from 09:30 – 10:00

Software update for all TKS cable modems will result in a brief service interruption. 

 Kaiserslautern, Germany – July 24, 2018 - On Tuesday, July 31, TKS will implement a system-wide update to its cable modem software. The update will result in a brief interruption of TKS services at all military installations serviced by TKS in Germany for approximately 30 minutes starting at 9:30 am. TKS customers living off-base will not be affected.

Services impacted include TKS easyConnect telephone and internet, TKS easyTV and AFN television, as well as Exchange Connect Wi-Fi service. All services will automatically resume, no special procedure or reconfiguration is required.

NOTE: A very small number of TKS subscribers may experience what appears to be another interruption later in the day due a potential synchronization error. In this case, an immediate quick-fix is possible by simply disconnecting the modem from the power outlet for a minute, then reconnecting, thereby rebooting the modem.

A modem reboot will only be needed in very rare cases and should clear up any synchronization problems immediately. However any type of persistent technical issues should be reported directly to TKS customer service: 0631 3522 499 (available 24/7).

Troubleshooting:   disconnect modem from power for one minute (only if needed)
