    They go to "Meta" in "Matter of Life & Death". The signal is (SPOILERS) the aliens on Meta warning them that they can't live there (no matter how nice it looks).

    The "this episode" entry was used the new Battlestar: Galactica. Ron Moore has admitted being inspired by Space: 1999
