- The video was then posted online where it is being well received
New York parks are full of wildlife but one particular bird caught everyone off guard.
Violet the Cockatoo was caught on camera barking at a rather confused dog in the middle of Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village.
The white-feathered bird sounded more like man's best friend as she barked away.
'Woof! Woof! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!' she barked.
A little dog became confused after a cockatoo started barking at him in a New York Park
The dog-like sound produced by Violet, the white feathered bird, made everyone laugh
Maybe it was the fact she was attached to a leash, but a small dog passing by could do nothing but stare in sheer amazement and likely confusion.
Instead of there being a war of words (or barks) between the pair, the two just stood and looked at one another.
The little dog seemed to enjoy the sight as much as the gathered crowds and started to wag its tail and let its tongue out in delight.
Other park-goers grabbed their smartphones to video the sight.
