Mary Beth Rogers, executive director of business services for Clarkston Community Schools, was recently elected to serve on the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Rogers is an MBSO certified chief financial officer and has been an active MSBO member since 1999.

“My goal is to represent and assist my peer members and MSBO. When my career began in K-12, I contacted a local business manager. His willingness to mentor me made a big difference,” Rogers said. “Without MSBO and other school officials’ willingness to help, I’m not sure I would have been successful. Twenty years later in K-12 and over 20 years in finance, I consider myself a veteran who has something to offer MSBO beginners and other school officials. I look forward to the opportunity to give back.”

Rogers has also served as president of MSBO Mid-West Regional Group, chair of the MSBO Financial Services Committee, and is a MSBO Piper Scholarship and Meridian Award of Excellence recipient.

The MSBO board oversees the operations of MSBO, which represents more than 2,400 school business officials.
