You could debate about how many slots a wallet needs (one for cash, a few more for cards, one for that free 6-inch sub you’ll never redeem) but as long as it turns out looking like this Il Bisonte 7-slot wallet, who cares? San Francisco’s Jon Larner has been using this wallet for two-and-a-half years and has the patina to show for it.
Jon has kept his wallet in the back pocket of his Iron Heart jeans over the years, and it’s natural veg-tanned leather has aged beautifully as a consequence. It’s picked up heavy indigo-transfer all over, but most notably around the edges. And as a special touch, the borders of the card slots have branded themselves through to the exterior of the wallet.
Sub-club card or not, we all aspire to the level of patina on Jon’s wallet and that’s why it’s earned its place in today’s Fade of the Day.
