This app is purely for fun. Upload images or video of your pooch and make your pet talk. It will surely make you laugh. With well over 3,000 reviews on iTunes, most of which are 5-star, I would say this is a fun and entertaining app.  For the best user experience, make sure to take advantage of the tutorial before diving right in.

8) Dog Sounds & Body Talk

Dog SoundsBy: iGreenEarth
Price: Free
Available: iOS  & Android

This is another fun app! It has loads of options for fun and funny sounds — like dogs barking, squeaky toys, knocking, doorbells, clickers, and many more. Most are funny, but a few can be a bit scary (like the growling dog)! When I was playing with the app and I got to the dog whistle, it really did get my toy poodles attention. My dogs seemed to really get a kick out of this app.  It’s definitely something fun to play around with.

9) WeRescue (Formerly Woof Rescue)

By: Mark Wade
Price: Free
Available:  iOS & Android

Excellent app if you are looking to adopt a fur baby. Coverage area includes the U.S. and Canada.  As soon as I opened this app, before I knew it I was viewing pages of Rescue dogs within a short distance of my home. You just have to insert your zip code. The app has lots of info, pics, and slideshows. You can customize it for your personal specifics. Whether you are looking to adopt or not, you could still help these little guys possibly find a forever home by sharing their info on social media. The app offers an upgrade if you want to do even more specific searches. I didn’t do the upgrade.

10) Walk For A Dog

By: Wooftrax Inc

Imagine this: You wake up in the morning and take your dog for a walk around your community. Before your pup’s paws hit the pavement, you open up an app, which turns your steps into cash for shelters. How cool would that be? Well, now you can do just that with apps like WalkForADog by WoofTrax. When you download this free app, you get to choose which shelter or rescue organization you would like to walk for.  Add your dogs to your profile and just hit the “Start Walking” button. The app tracks your distance and your impact!

15) LaQuinta Inns & Suites Hotels

la quintaBy: LQ Management LLC
Price: Free
Available:  iOS & Android

If you’re traveling with your fur baby, you shouldn’t leave home without having LaQuinta information. Just in case you need a place to stay, you can call them. I personally, always travel with my dogs.  For me, since they are a total dog-friendly chain, I like to stay there. They don’t charge you extra for your pet’s stay and don’t make you pay a pet deposit. The do make you sign a waiver in case your dog causes any damage (you are responsible to pay for damages, which is certainly fair)!  The hotels aren’t the fanciest, but they are clean and most that I’ve stayed at are really nice.  I’ve stayed in a couple that were older, but they were still clean. Additionally, although it varies per location, they usually put out a nice breakfast selection.  You can eat it there or grab and go!
