This was another simply perfect romance from these two authors. Simple in the way that we don't have any OW/OM drama or a ton of angst. Just two adults acting like adults. Having conversations. Working on their relationship. Apologizing after fights without all over top drama and angst that is found in SO many romance books nowadays. I've said before I am not a huge fan of slow burn books, but these authors have the knack of pulling me into the story and leading me on a meandering journey that keeps me engaged from beginning to end. And again, this one was no different.
So deets. It goes without saying that this one was very well written and paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. The mystery aspect of the story was decent. Although, I figured out what the twist was going to be somewhat early on in the book. Like I said above, there was no OW/OM drama. Very little angst or drama (like a smidge if that). The sex scenes were hot. The secondary characters interesting (I hope we get a book featuring Drew soon *hint hint*). I particularly enjoyed Nick's father and of course little Becca.
Both main characters were extremely likable. I love that these authors make their characters older and I love that they make them REAL. They are not perfect GQ or fashion models. They have flaws and scars and issues just like the majority of us. I ADORED Nick. I loved that he wasn't perfect. I loved that he didn't come out of his mother's womb with a six pack and a bad attitude. He was bald. He wasn't cut. He was just a regular guy who fell in love with a scarred but completely awesome woman and her daughter. As for Stacie, what wasn't there to love? She was a strong independent single mom who had something horrible and life changing happen to her but she still fierce and full of life. Lastly, this was all wrapped up in a super sweet tear worthy ending. Not much left to say really. I loved it, and it gets two solid thumbs up from yours truly.

There are a number of reasons a book has me clicking those 5 stars at the end of a book. Sometimes it's easy to explain why, and others not as much.
The easiest ones are when the couple just hits every one of my boxes. For me, it's really easy to gush about a couple and not spoil anything. When it goes beyond the couple, that's when I struggle expressing my feelings for a book only because I don't want to spoil anything for other readers.
As much as I like the main couple here, they aren't the only ones who stole my heart in this book. Once you read this, you will know exactly what I'm talking about, and even though I won't spoil things, this gives you the idea to look forward to more than just the couple.
A few things I can talk about would be the small town setting. This gives us readers a chance to get to know a few side characters that just really add to the story and gives you hope that there will be more books based off some of them in future.
Then there is the sense of family. Our heroine is the sister of the hero in book 1. That brings us a bigger family picture than just the heroine and her daughter into the story. Even better, the hero brings his father as part of the family package as well. And to top things off, the heroine is a single mom. I love single parent tropes.
Finally, there is the actual couple themselves. Anastasia, Stacie for short, is a character we got to meet in book one. She got caught up in the danger meant for the heroine of that book and now Stacie is having to deal with the aftermath.
She's a strong heroine who I think reacted in a very realistic way to her burn scars. I really admired how she pushed herself to be better with the insecurities for her impressionable young daughter. She did have a few moments of being too strong.
Nick is not normally a hero I seek out. I'm all about the big strong tough guys. While he's not the typical alpha, he is very protective and that is just as appealing in a hero. He has a few insecurities he deals with as well. He's the former nerd turned hot.
There are some scary moments in this book that will get your heart racing. The suspense really had me on the edge with a few scenes. Add all of this together and you get a fantastically well written story that I can't recommend enough.

With all my heart ...
Ideal Image is an amazing addition to this series. I knew as soon as I started this book that I wouldn’t be putting it down until The End.
Stacie, who’s a lawyer, is an incredibly strong woman, cut from the same mold as her uber-alpha brother, Ben. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve ever read a female lead any stronger, (Suddenly, I’m having a hilarious vision of dinner time or a game night in the Gustafson household with a young Ben and Stacie vying to best the other) and the apple clearly doesn’t fall far from the tree where Stacie’s daughter, Mak, is concerned.
With all kidding aside, Stacie has gone through so much physical and emotional pain, none of which has fully healed, from an explosion in the prior installment. She hasn’t lost her sass, but she’s carrying around an uncomfortable amount of vulnerability and self-consciousness due to the scars on the left side of her body and face. Stacie has one more facial surgery coming up, which scares her to no end because it’s her final.
Let’s face it, we’d all be trying our damndest to hide those scars as well. Don’t we do this everyday? Wondering if a blouse covers our stomach, or how half our closet consists of black everything—the forgiving shade. And let’s not forget that we’d not leave the house without applying some make-up, even if just a touch. So in a sense, we’re all Stacie. Sure, her injuries deserve a lot more empathy but in the end, it’s all how we perceive ourselves through the eyes of others.
Knowing how the proceeds will help, Stacie allows Isla, Ben’s wife, to take pictures of her to auction at a gala for burn victims—a gala that Nick will be hosting, considering he helped set up the framework for the foundation a few years ago.
I love how Nick sees Stacie through such different eyes than how she sees herself. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. He would know, after all, because he’s known her a long time. She just doesn’t realize that yet. Nick is a great guy—warm, compassionate, intelligent, patient, and sort of alpha—just not like that of the Ben kind! He’s amazing with the girls ... swoon-worthy for sure. Their love story itself is really the easiest, most comfortable part of the whole book.
There are so many sub-plots and twists and turns swirling around involving an amazing supporting cast—who have become just as important to the storyline as the main characters—that I have never felt so intimately involved in the lives of each and every one of them. Most of the time, I was holding my breath just from the suspense alone; the rest of the time, I was either crying or laughing out loud.
Aside from this being Stacie and Nick’s story, Mak, Ben, Isla, baby Noah, Jen, Drew, Isla’s Uncle Al, and Nick’s dad, Pops (whom I fell in love with) all helped to make this a hit, but ... Mak’s little friend, Becca, quietly steals the show—along with my heart—a tiny victim herself, she’s also the book’s hero.
The epilogue is the perfect finish—the icing on the cake—for the whole clan!
Freya Barker and KT Dove have created another treasure together. Ideal Image goes straight into my reread file, alongside Shutter Speed and Freeze Frame.
Hands down, a five star read for me. I highly recommend this one! I was given this ARC for an honest review and honest it certainly is.

Ideal Image by Freya Barker & K.T. Dove is an emotional romance with just the right amount of suspenseful edge. This second installment in the Snapshot series bring us Stacie's story, the sister of Ben whom we follow in Freeze Frame. Ideal Image can be read as a standalone but better enjoyed in series order of course.
After Freeze Frame I really hoped that wasn't the last we saw of these characters and K.T. & Freya did not disappoint. Stacie was such a strong, interesting character and following along with her story of healing and growing her relationship with her daughter was beautiful. You are in-store for some shocking twists and turns in this tale that I didn't see coming. I couldn't put this book down and loved every minute with these multi-layered characters. Fingers crossed we'll get another installment in this series because Freya and K.T. make a fantastic team. 5 Stars for Ideal Image by Freya Barker & K.T. Dove

There were many things that I liked about this book. First, Stacie's story was special, compelling & heartbreaking - as was her resilience. All the main characters were well developed, interesting & likeable, including her cool daughter Mak. Nick was delicious. (The police and inspectors in the story were hot - too bad they don't have their own books. LOL)
The romantic part of the story was really beautiful. A treat that it was between two smart & mature people. but I would have liked it to play out faster...so a point taken off there.
For me, the mystery part - while gripping - was a little too cliché and OTT in parts...
Overall, a really good, luscious story - but too long for my taste.

An altogether more rounded story in this series which I really enjoyed, and appreciated!
This is the second instalment in the Snapshot series. Having loved the prequel, and being slightly disappointed with the first full instalment, Freeze Frame, I found Ideal Image to be a really rewarding and enjoyable story.
Right from the start I connected with the characters and loved spending yet more time with Ben, Isla and good ‘ole Al as well as the main protagonists in this story: Nick and Stacie, and Stacie’s daughter Mak.
Having been badly hurt in the blast that occurred in Freeze Frame, Stacie is now picking up the pieces of her life. Scarred and broken, she is trying to reclaim her life, despite still having one painful reconstructive surgery to face. Supported only by her daughter, she now works from home: a far cry from her previous life as a criminal lawyer.
Aside from her job and current life as a mother, we get to see just how Mak was conceived and the man who was her ever-present shadow then, and now. Nick has loved Stacie from a distance since she was a student and he a teaching assistant. Stunned to find Stacie living in his town, he vows to himself that this time he’s not prepared to let her slip through his fingers. Stacie has no idea that Nick was her saviour all those years ago but quickly warms to his kindness, charm and protectiveness of her and her daughter.
As expected, this story has more than the pain surrounding Stacie’s ongoing recovery for her to face. When someone she once jailed comes into town looking to hurt her, her life is once again turned upside down. But with Nick, her brother Ben and the rest of her new extended family to protect her, both she and Mak will be safe, right?
A side story was also immensely rewarding in this book and that involved a frightened and damaged little girl called Becca. A friend of Mak, she finds herself embroiled in Stacie’s danger as her mother unwittingly becomes involved with the man set on revenge against Stacie. Becca was such a sweet little character and I loved her addition into the story, especially with how Stacie, Nick and their family all warm to her and quickly make her one of their own.
This story had ups and down and twists and turns which kept me on the edge of my seat. It was well written and thought out and unlike its predecessor, had plenty of story to suck me in. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion a future instalment will involve Drew, the local Sheriff, and I can’t wait to see what may or may not develop between him and Jen.
I’m so glad that I read on in this series, after finding Freeze Frame a little flimsy on the story side of things, Ideal Image more than made up for any misgivings that I had.

Freya Barker and KT Dove have written another gem of a book that's been an absolute pleasure to read.
The characters are so normal that it's totally refreshing to read about them. Stacie and her daughter having to set up home and then Stacie needs to work to pay the bills. Starting work with Nicholas and all that entails.
A pleasure to read and it left me looking forward to more!

Beautiful book about insecurities and self acceptance.
Love this book.
Stacie has been through so much, but loved her because she was so strong.
Loved Nick. What a change from what we are used to in the main male characters. Love how he loved his girls.
But most of all I loved Becca. That little girl just broke my heart and loved how it ended❤️
Highly recommend this series.

I'm such a fan of this series Freya Barker and KT Dove make a incredible collaboration , I would suggest that you read Shutter Speed and Freeze Frame before you start Ideal Image witch is focused on the hero from the first in snapshot series sister and a major plot point happens . After reading Freeze Frame I couldn't wait to get my hands on Stacies story my heart broke for her and I was not disappointed in the book it leaves me wanting to see more in this series . Loved Stacie she's such a great heroine amazing mother a fighter and the relationship she has with her brother is beautiful got all misty eyed on some of the scenes between them . Nick is a incredible hero the first time he sets his eyes on Stacie he sees her true beauty and when after everything she has been through he still sees it and reminds the heroine of it every time she tries to put herself down , very protective , and he has hilarious banter with his pop who has no filter what so ever . The chemistry between them is really intense with sex scenes that are hot lets just say Nick is a giver (wink) . Mak and Becca are adorable little girls adore the fact that Mak is protective of her and tries to bring Becca out of her shell . There is a twist I didn't see coming I was like "oh no " and the secondary characters are awesome I can't wait to see whats next in the series "cough " Drew cough" playboy police officer "cough" .

I can’t remember the last time I’d anxiously awaited another book in a series. From the moment I finished Freeze Frame by Freya Barker and KT Dove, I wanted Stacie’s story.
Stacie Gustafson is Ben’s sister. She’s a lawyer who was unfortunately in a horrific explosion in the first full length Snapshot novel. Though we did see a bit of her recovery by the end of Ben’s novel, she still has a long road ahead of her. She also has a daughter, nine year old Mak. The physical changes have left her scarred, both physically and emotionally. But Stacie is by far, one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.
Nicholas Flynn is one of the town’s attorneys, looking to expand on his practice and very well aware of the new talent in town. However, old insecurities come into play when Nick realizes that Stacie is none other than a woman he adored from years earlier.
I adored everything about their story. The love, the suspense, the surprises along the way. These two authors know how to give us sexy, mature characters who are anything but past their prime. The banter between these two is fantastic. I love Stacie’s sass and although I wouldn’t consider Nick an over the top alpha, he can certainly play the part when the situation requires it. I absolutely loved watching him go toe to toe with big brother Ben.
The secondary characters in this book only complement the leads. It was great to see an update on Ben, Isla, Noah and Uncle Al, however I really do think Pops and Becca steal the show. Fingers crossed Jen and Drew are next!
Stacie Gustafson is Ben’s sister. She’s a lawyer who was unfortunately in a horrific explosion in the first full length Snapshot novel. Though we did see a bit of her recovery by the end of Ben’s novel, she still has a long road ahead of her. She also has a daughter, nine year old Mak. The physical changes have left her scarred, both physically and emotionally. But Stacie is by far, one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

wow, I love the way the Authors make you feel like you are one of the characters in the story where you feel there pain as well and the love and you are grateful for the HEA . Stacie Lawyer , Single mother to Mak and a woman scared by a horrible accident who is trying to rebuild her life and make a life for her daughter. She meets Nic Flynn a lawyer who hires her to become a partner in his law firm but what she doesn't realise Nic has known her since before Mak was born. Stacie's brother Ben is very protective of Stacie and Mak but has to learn that Nic loves and wants to protect them as well. Mak is a 9 year old girl who has a friend Becca who is a troubled girl that Nic and Stacie discover is hiding terrible secret that could destroy lives .

Stacie and her nine year old daughter Makenna aka Mak were first introduced in Freeze Frame, the previous book in the series and I was hoping that Stacie would get her own turn in the spotlight. Fortunately the authors obliged us!
As the story opens, Stacie is recovering from being badly burned and nearly killed in an explosion at the end of Freeze Frame. After spending time in the spotlight in her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Albuquerque, she has become used to being the center of attention but now she feels like people are staring due to her scars instead. She is struggling to find her equilibrium after having her reality completely altered, she is now adjusting to a new town as she moved herself and Mak to be closer to her brother Ben and his wife Isla, and she is quick to go on the defensive when interacting with others.
A prime example of that defensiveness is Nicholas Flynn. Nick is an attorney she met at Ben's wedding, and while he initially seemed interested in speaking to her about a job opportunity, she is annoyed and disgusted when all he can do is stare at her from across the room all the night. Then he never contacts her again so she is certain that he is put off by her appearance. She has no idea that his silence is for exactly the opposite reason though. We soon find out that Nick and Stacie have a connection in their past and he was staring because he still thinks she is beautiful regardless of the scars, and it left him a little bit tongue tied.
Their next interaction doesn't exactly go smoothly either, but eventually they find a middle ground and she discovers Nick is actually a pretty likable guy. As they get to know each other, they fall into an easy friendship with a smokin' side of UST thanks to Mak's constant presence, Nick's friendship with Ben, and Nick's own determination to take things slowly until Stacie is certain of what she wants. He has his own hangups about his appearance too thanks to his own demons from his younger years, and that realization is a wake up call to Stacie. So many people struggle with self-image for different reasons, and she finally realizes that she is not willing to let her scars define her. She starts to regain her inner strength and sass as she moves to reclaim her life.
Since she started recovering from her injuries, Stacie has become involved with a charity benefiting burn patients and she even agreed to let Isla take some photos to be sold with the proceeds going to the charity. When they are a bigger hit than either woman could ever imagine, it leads to a national news article being run and Stacie's identity and location are exposed. She never dreamed that one of the cases she prosecuted in the past would come back to haunt her, but that article triggers exactly that scenario and suddenly Stacie, Mak and all their friends and family are in imminent danger as a result.
Nick and Stacie have great chemistry and that definitely carries over to behind closed doors! One of the things I love most about Freya's (and now KT's) stories is that they feature people in their late 30s and up who are real characters you can relate to. They have flaws, and they are not picture perfect with nary a hair out of place. They are people I can imagine being friends with or remind me of people that I am friends with. I especially loved Nick's father who everyone calls Pops! He is the older relative we all have that doesn't have a filter and is not shy about discussing bodily functions or just says the first thing that comes to mind, political correctness be damned, but he has the best of intentions.
Another wonderful part of this story was the addition of Becca, a friend of Mak's from school who becomes an integral part of the plot. My heart broke for that little girl and all that she goes through but I loved the way she is immediately folded into their inner circle. The authors did a wonderful job marrying the fun and romance aspect of the story with the heartpounding twists and turns of the suspense aspect, and they even managed to throw in a bit of a twist I wasn't expecting which is saying something!
All in all, Ideal Image was a fabulous story that I didn't want to put down. The flow of the book is seamless and I couldn't tell where one author left off and the other picked up in the narrative. That wonderful feeling of serenity you feel when you finish an awesome book full of characters you have fallen in love with. Watching them pick up the pieces and expose themselves to others again. Showing strength and courage to everyone near, leading by example and always being there for others when needed. Makes the ❤ happy. I never want these books to end but always know that soon will be another group of characters for me to fall in love with.

Ideal Image is the second book in the Snapshot series from Freya Barker and K.T. Dove. It is highly recommended that you read Shutter Speed and Freeze Frame before reading Ideal Image. They are both amazing books too that you will really enjoy.
Stacie Gustafson is a criminal lawyer and a single mother. A dependable career, a well-organized life, and an immaculate image have always been her armor. Without it she is left exposed and struggling to create a new existence for her and her daughter. Not matter how hard she tries, she is unable to avoid her history.
Nicholas Flynn takes one look at the blue-eyed woman and he is transported back ten years. Her appearance has changed but then so has his, since he turned his life around. His devotion to his small-town law firm is tested with the arrival of his bittersweet blast from the past, making for a persistent distraction. One that drags along more trouble than he left behind.
If your looking for a book with a strong female character Stacie is your girl. She has got to be one of the strongest female characters I have ever read about. She is also Ben's sister. If you have read the last book you know that Stacie was injured physically and emotionally in an explosion. She has not fully healed and carries scares that she is very self conscious on her body and face. Life has changed drastically for her too. This book as you can tell is pretty emotional. My heart broke for Stacie. But a blast from the past is soon to come to Stacie. And oh how I loved Nick. He is not letting her go this time and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her. He just doesn't count on the danger that is coming their way in the form of someone from the past that Stacie put in jail. This book will also keep you on the edge of your seat. I have decided too that while I have loved all these books this one is my favorite in the series. You guys are so going to love this book.

Now awaiting her final surgery she is still hiding out at home with her daughter Mak, afraid of people’s stares and whispers. Always a beautiful woman, Stacie is having to come to terms with a new mindset to help her get through each day. After helping her sister in law to create some new photos for a book to raise funds for burns victims, something changes. By knowing that her contribution will help others this gave her a bit of her confidence back.
Nick, a local lawyer, has always thought Stacie was beautiful and that he never stood a chance with her but when he invites her to trial a new position at his company, the pair become close and Nick takes a chance on this being their time.
Although I had met Stacie in the previous book, it took me a while to warm to her and I found it hard to get inside her head. I couldn’t remember Nick though and it was slow to formulate the connection between them. Nick was a little less of an alpha, in fact in a couple of scenes he acquiesced to Ben (the big hunky alpha man I adore!) which then took me a long time into the book to accept him as the main male character (his father Pops actually stole his star!)
Although I didn’t enjoy this as much as the previous book (which I FLOVED) it was an overall engaging and involved storyline and I liked the second half of the book more. The subplot of the suspense was easy to guess but still brought some drama to the story. For me this was a 3.5 stars read but rounded up to a four star.

I have LOVED everything I've ever read from Freya Barker, but have never read KT Dove so this was a perfect chance to experience a tried and true favorite author and a new to me author and I was not disappointed!! Filled with the emotional punch and characters so real it's like you're sitting right next to them that I've come to expect from Freya, and then the edge of your seat suspense all tipped off with a beautiful love story Ideal Image was a book I couldn't put down!
After recovering from severe burns, single mom Stacie is slowing beginning to come to terms with her new appearance. For Nick, seeing Stacie again is a blast from the past. The unobtainable girl from college has moved to his small town and is now rightbthere everyday. After a bit of a rocky start thanks to misunderstanding his shyness, these two quickly start a blossoming love that is one of pure beauty. So many things in this book touched my heart. The love between Stacie and Nick being just part of it. There was so much love and kindness with family and friends mixed into a suspenseful mystery that leaves you gasping!
Both with their own insecurities Nick and Stacie's relationship was one of two perfectly imperfect people who learn that the way we see ourselves isn't actually what the rest of the world sees. Nick was still just as deeply attracted to Stacie as he was ten years before, and Stacie was drawn just as intensely to the man she hadn't noticed when she was younger. The adorable relationship that blooms between Nick and the kids is only made better by the sweetness of Nick's father as he adopts everyone into his family.

I was so looking forward to this the next instalment of the Snapshot books and I was not disappointed. This book is Stacie & Nicks book, with a lovely side order of Ben , Isla , Al and the addition of Stacie's daughter Mak.
With the first few chapters I was " ooh this is different" but these introductory chapters as so important to the rest of the book.
Ideal Image picks up in the aftermath of Stacie's accident, working at home, when she crosses paths with Nick the towns lawyer.
Nick is part of her past, a part that she really doesn't realise just how important he is. When another part of her past also re emerges, Nick and Ben prove they will do anything to protect those closest to them.
Yet again Freya Barker & K T Dove have produced a book that gives you everything you want and need. Perfect characters, beautiful setting, action & of course romance

As collaborative authors, Freya Barker & KT Dove are seamlessly effortless. Ideal Image follows the trials of Stacie and Nick as they navigate their way through a past that won’t go away. There are secrets to be uncovered. A darkness that won’t die. An evil that needs to be eradicated. Through it all, Nick is steadfast even though some of his actions could be seen as creepy. His heart has always been in the right place. Stacie has dealt with a lot in her life; an accident that left her scarred not just on the outside. Nick sees beyond her disfigurement, he sees her soul.
For what is a pretty angst ridden story, there are some lighthearted moments brought courtesy of Pops, Nicks dad. He’s a very straightforward chap who says what he thinks. In fact all the supporting characters are strong; they’re not just plonked in to bulk out the story. They’re all well rounded; fully formed as it were.
I don’t know what plans the authors have for a follow up but I’d like to see more of Drew & Jen.

Stacie is a single mum who now works from home, as she tries to piece her life back together again after a horrendous event leaves her scarred and broken. Nicholas has loved Stacie from a distance for years, and now that she is back in his home time her is determined to have her. No spoilers; this is one of those stories which is just a definite must read, you will never be disappointed with these author’s work!
This is a beautifully written story, which had me captivated from the very beginning. These two extremely talented authors’ are a fantastic duo, and I highly recommend their work for all readers.

I loved this collaboration as much, if not more, than the previous book, Freeze Frame. Stacie's story is a testament to strong women everywhere and Nick is nearly the perfect man. The secondary characters add color and flair to the storyline as does Mak and her friend, Becca. There is suspense, love, humor, strength, and passion in this book and the unexpected twists are a treat for the reader.

Yes just yes. 4 1/2 Well worth the read. Engaging slowly but constantly build up of story. The authors have kept the flow of writing and story consistent and engaging. 'Real' people who have faced life and challenges and were battered but resilient in the end. Provide an ARC (for honest review) prior to my preorder arrival and I'm keeping my preorder as well worth the cost

What I didn’t expect was the history, and to have a male character who I fell in love with despite his insecurities.

Ideal Image is book two in the Snapshot series. It centers around Stacie, sister to Ben who we met in book one, and Nicholas. In book one, Stacie was caught in an explosion that left part of her body scared. This changes her life forever. She finds herself having trouble going out into public. Nicholas had known Stacie from the past and he always had a crush on her but had a few confidence issues of his own to deal with. But now they are back together and he is wondering if she can see him differently.
I really like Stacie. Yes, she is having confidence issues but she manages those issues for the sake of her daughter. She will do anything for her daughter. Stacie still has one surgery to go and I love how Freya and KT put real emotion into what that means. I also really love how they expressed the emotion that Stacie’s daughter was going through.
Stacie showing back up in Nicholas’s life shocked him. He did not handle the reunion very well and both were left confused. I did instantly like Nicholas and as the book went on I fell for him. He turned into the rock that Stacie needed.
While Stacie and Nicholas were trying to figure out their relationship, there is trouble building. Stacie doesn’t know it but her past is coming back to find her.
I really love this series. Nicholas and his dad are perfect additions. There is so much emotion in this book from Stacie dealing with her scars to Nicholas getting past his confidence issues. I also love the part with Ben and him realizing that he now has to pass on the protecting duties to Nicholas. (Which wasn’t easy) There are some more heart wrenching moments but I don’t want to give away too much. This book has a great blend of emotion and humour.
I really like Stacie. Yes, she is having confidence issues but she manages those issues for the sake of her daughter. She will do anything for her daughter. This is the next instalment in the Snapshot Series by authors Freya Barker and K T Dove. Just like the previous books (Shutter Speed #0.5 and Freeze Frame #1) this book was all consuming, it was gritty and edgy with a suspense filled story line and just enough romance and light hearted one liners to balance the book.
Nick and Stacie shared a brief moment in the past, one that set Nick free and changed Stacie’s life. 10 years later their paths cross and the result is this amazing story. It will have you literally on the edge of your seat in places and dreamily sighing in others. Stacie’s character had real passion and was fiery and Nick was a great calming influence.
The introduction of Henry aka Pops added to the fantastic supporting characters in this book, and let’s not forget about Mak and Becca, who doesn’t love life through a kids eyes. Obviously I Loved catching up with Ben and Isla, (although Isla doesn’t feature quite as much) Uncle Al, Drew, Jen, Neil and Gus…missed not seeing Damian though! And being honest after reading the previous books, I kind of liked the idea of Stacie with Damian but now that I’ve read this story I realise I would have been wrong.
This duo did a fantastic job with this book. Their writing was engaging and flowed seamlessly; you really couldn’t tell that there had been 2 authors, overall the book was a great read and I will look forward to the next instalment…Drew and Jen **wink wink**

'I have scars, but they don't get to define me'
Devastating and life changing, but handled with such care by the author's to give heart warming hope to situations which could become overwhelmingly bleak.
This book is packed with a cast that are amazingly inspirational whilst still being real, relatable and with flaws...real, imagined, visible and hidden. Stacie is far stronger than any woman should have to be, she has moments of doubt or weakness, but these are short-lived, she is, in short, amazing. Nick is my hero, he is not big, strong or even very Alpha but he is thoughtful, loving, dependable, consistent and has the biggest heart, the care, respect and love he shows Stacie and then later Mak and Becca will have you handing your heart over willingly.
Mak and Becca...what can you say, they experience trauma that is beyond anything any child should, but they stay sweet, if a little sassy in Mak's case, they lean on each other and are truly beautiful souls.
This is a great crossover with the Cedar Point series and a poignant finish to the Snapshot mini series, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

As an avid reader, it is the greatest joy when you read a book that makes you feel. That makes you realise that no matter what life throws at you, there is always someone who has it worse. That makes you realise that although there are cruel and twisted people in the world, there are also ALWAYS good. Those that restore your faith in humanity and give you a new purpose in life. This book had this in spades.
Stacie is dealt a cruel blow from life. Although she does not let it define her, it does affect her, as it would anyone. She finds her strength in focusing on raising her young daughter. She is an inspiring character. She proves that you CAN overcome.

Ideal Image is the story of Stacie and Nick. We first met Stacie and her daughter Mak in Freeze Frame. I fell in love with Stacie and Mak in Freeze Frame. It only seemed fitting that Stacie would get her own story. What I love most about Freya's work is that she often uses characters that are older, meaning late thirties and older. Trust me...I fit this category and it is extremely refreshing to have characters I can relate to.
Freya and KT do an amazing job with this stories. Ideal Image sucked me in from the word go and held my attention until the very end. I love the dynamics in the story. I love the chemistry that Stacie and Nick have. I loved all the twists and turns in the story. There were things that happened that I never saw coming. I want you to read this book, heck, this series, because it is amazing. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely loved the latest book in the Snapshot series!! This is the story of Stacie and Nick. Stacie is a criminal lawyer who is also a single mom of Mak. Her job and her outward image she portrays to the world is her armor and when that gets stripped away she struggles with everything and decides to move to where her brother Ben is living. Nick is doing alright for himself...he is his own boss at a small time law firm. He has always had feeling for Stacie and when she left 10 years prior he felt like maybe his chance had past. Now that she is back its time for Nick to show her how good he can be for her and Mak. Can they get past their own insecurities....take a chance on their possible happily ever after?
I loved everything about this story...it was nice to revisit with Ben, Isla and everybody else from the series! I highly recommend this story to everyone....it was a fantastic story. I can't wait to see what is next from this series (crossing my fingers and toes its Jen and Drew lol) Well done!!!

This is another fabulous addition to this series.
The story of Stacie and Nick. We all have the picture in our head of the ideal person. we may see it as outward beauty , brains and personality but really it is so much more.
Stacie has been made into a strong independent woman. She has suffered for years physically and mentally following an injury.
Nick he has know Stacie for a very long time but he has really never looked at the real woman until now.
This is an amazing journey with Stacie and Nick. You will experience a plethora of emotions on this ride. These characters are real, well written and indebt. I was pulled in and felt like I was watching their story unfold. Loved it !!
