53 Colours adds second wide-format press

53 Colours Signs & Printing in Carleton Place, Ont., has installed a VersaCamm VS-540i wide-format printer from Roland DGA, allowing the company to promise its clients shorter wait times for signage.

Having served customers throughout the Ottawa Valley for more than 30 years, 53 Colours is a copy and print centre that specializes in outdoor signage. Over time, it has added a range of digital and offset printing services, producing everything from wayfinding signs, restaurant menus and promotional posters to labels to notepads. The company also serves in an advisory role and creates custom presentations for entry-level digital signage networks.

The VersaCamm VS-540i is a 1.37-m (54-in.) wide ‘eco-solvent’ inkjet printer/cutter. It can reportedly print up to 25.8 m2 (278 sf) per hour and is designed for the production of signs, banners, vehicle graphics and wraps, fine-art posters, point-of-purchase (POP) displays, decals, labels and packaging prototypes.

With the purchase, 53 Colours now runs two 1.37-m wide Roland printers.
