Fall has arrived! We’re ready to put on our oversized cozy cardis, pick up a pumpkin spice latte, and savor the pleasant chill in the air and the changing of the leaves {because if being basic is wrong we don’t wanna be right…}. And what better way to enjoy the season than to dine outdoors at our favorite restaurants and take in the scenery? Grab your denim jacket and scarf and check out these Jersey City restaurants with a great fall view.

Taphaus {2 Second Street}

Offering a location in Jersey City, this restaurant on Second Street has beautiful views of the Hudson and offers fun appetizers {hello, asparagus fries}, killer burgers, and original cocktails to boot {or should we say boots? ‘Tis the season}. Taphaus also has outdoor seating, which is perfect for taking in the outdoor greenery lining the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway and savoring the autumn weather.

Hamilton Inn {708 Jersey Avenue}

Harborside Sport + Spine

Besides offering a delicious brunch on the weekends that includes $5 Bloody Marys, screwdrivers and greyhounds {grapefruit juice with gin or vodka}, or a $9 bacon Bloody Mary, Hamilton Inn has a few tables situated right out front which are perfect for observing beautiful tree-lined Jersey Avenue. Enjoy some delicious brioche French toast or huevos rancheros and then take a stroll to nearby Hamilton Park after dining to get the true fall experience.

Maritime Parc {84 Audrey Zapp Drive}

This is an excellent choice for a fine dining experience where you can also check out the color-changing leaves in nearby Liberty State Park. The dinner menu includes all manner of fresh fish {butter-poached lobster, anyone?} and a fabulous cocktail menu that will leave you feeling fancy, flirty, and ready for fall.

Razza Pizza Artigianale {275 Grove Street}

AXIS School of Dance

This pizza restaurant with locally sourced ingredients may leave you hard-pressed for seating on a Friday night, but if you are able to get a table, make sure to pick one outdoors. Aside from fresh bread and butter made in-house along with locally sourced cheese {we’re already drooling}, the outdoor seating offers a great view of Grove Street with City Hall across the way, all chock full of stunning foliage. Noshing on delicious pizza, sipping cocktails, and breathing in the fall air = dining win.

Vu Lounge {2 Exchange Place}

Located inside the Hyatt Regency next to Harborside Financial Center, this cocktail/appetizer bar offers a beautiful view of the Hudson and NYC across the water as well as the foliage in the courtyard below. Dinners include fresh fish dishes, custom salads, and a build your own entrée menu, complete with a dining room and bar that is stuh-ning. Check this place out at sunset and you won’t be disappointed.

White Star {179 Warren Street}

Situated by the Essex Street light rail stop, this cozy little burger bar {with delicious brunch} is located near Van Vorst Park and has both outdoor and indoor seating. Enjoy tree-lined Warren Street or take a short walk to the waterfront nearby to get the best that the season has to offer. Grab a White Star burger and some local beer on tap and enjoy!

Another locale near Liberty State Park with a beautiful view, Liberty House has large panoramic windows inside the restaurant where diners can look out onto the Hudson and the beautifully kept gardens while enjoying the seasonal, locally-sourced menu of seafood and meat dishes. If the weather is right, this place is great to enjoy a cocktail {you have several delicious choices} outdoors sitting by one of the granite firepits or comfy benches {and don’t forget the life-sized chess board a la Harry Potter while you’re out there}.
