PROJECT FOCUS
Spring 2020 Newsletter

Word from the Director

The Spring 2020 semester was a wild ride! While not ideal, our transition to remote instruction went better than expected and this semester was no different than past semesters. We saw incredible gains and improvements, even with the challenges brought on by COVID-19. I would especially like to highlight our graduates OTISCHA SMILEY, ALEX YANEZ, and KYLE BOOTH (Fall 19 but would have walked in the Spring 20 Commencement). These three amazing individuals made tremendous progress in their time at UNLV. As they all look to enter the workforce during this strenuous time, each one of them bring amazing qualities and work ethic to the next stone on their path. We are lucky to have been able to get to know them and help them along their journey! While they will be missed on campus, we look forward to seeing their continued success post graduation!

Semester Highlights

While our time together this Spring may have seemed shorter and looked different from years past, we Rebels stayed focused and made the best of it!

From online seminars, to Heads Up zoom parties, to virtual job interviewing - it was another successful semester with this incredible group! Thank you to all of those who are a part of the FOCUS family, we hope you all enjoy your summer and stay safe!
