Working with Visual Consultants

The Art of Visualizing Process

The purpose of this exchange with David is to learn how graphic recorders, graphic facilitators, and visual consultants think, work and collaborate. David began as a graphic recorder in 1972 and has evolved through all the developmental stages to that of a fully rounded, visual consultant who designs, visualizes, and leads complex change processes. He has written four books on the subject, the last being Visual Consulting: Designing & Leading Change, co-authored with Gisela Wendling (which registrants will receive). He is interested now in sharing his learning with recorders and facilitators who want to work with visual consultants and understand how they think and what they expect.

David Sibbet is a world leader in visual facilitation and process leadership. He is the founder and CEO of The Grove Consultants International and known globally for creating cutting edge process consulting tools for visualization, team performance, strategic visioning, and organizational transformation.

The Focus

The purpose of this exchange with David is to learn how graphic recorders, graphic facilitators, and visual consultants think, work and collaborate. David began as a graphic recorder in 1972 and has evolved through all the developmental stages to that of a fully rounded, visual consultant who designs, visualizes, and leads complex change processes. He is interested now in sharing his learning with recorders and facilitators who want to work with visual consultants and understand how they think and what they expect.

This learning will happen through interactive presentations alternating with visually recorded dialogues. People will have a chance to record and get feedback, pose challenges, and get answers, either from David or each other. He has many examples of process designs and tools that he can share when necessary to help participants.

The highlight

Gisela Wendling is in parallel also with a group for a day at Beuerhof on the topic "Rites of Passages in Organizations". Both groups will come together and exchange ideas.... in this way all the people on site cross-fertilize and inspire each other in their exploration, their doing and their practice. You will meet exciting people!

The Venue

Click here for a map and photos of the Beuerhof. It is in the Vulcan Eifel in Germany, south of Cologne and west of Frankfurt.  The food is all organic and sensitive to different needs. We will share a beautiful communal dining room. We stay in rooms in the large main house and some in cabins. There are several medicine circles and places to walk and meditate.
