WE’VE BEEN SUPPORTING THOSE MOST VULNERABLE

We are working hard to support some of the most vulnerable people in society during the coronavirus pandemic. We are donating 500,000 hand wash, hand sanitiser and body wash products to a variety of worthy causes across the UK including Age UK, homeless charities, and to the incredible NHS key workers.

As part of our efforts we are also donating products to our long-term charity partner, In Kind Direct, who support a
network of thousands of charities throughout the UK by distributing essential products that are donated to them.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

Coronavirus means people living with cancer need the support of Macmillan Nurses more than ever. As well as being there for people living with cancer, many Macmillan Nurses are working to support the NHS frontline, so the support of the public and organisations is vital.

We are proud to support the work of Macmillan Cancer Support by donating thousands of bottles of Carex hand wash and hand sanitiser gel to help protect the nurses and patients during this time.

SCALING UP PRODUCTION

FOR KEY WORKERS

Thank you to everyone at our factory in Manchester for reacting to unprecedented demand for handwash and increasing production capacity by 3 times to over 3.7 million bottles per week!

Everyone continues to work hard to support all the key workers, NHS staff, charities and all of our Carex families.

SUPPORTING AGE UK

Age UK is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. They provide companionship, advice and support for older people who need it most. The cononavirus pandemic has changed life for everyone, but some older people are among the hardest hit. That’s why we are supporting Age UK with donations of Carex hand wash and hand sanitiser, to make sure they have access to these vital products. Geoff (pictured) regularly attends one of Age UK’s Day Centres in Manchester and was delighted to receive a bottle of Carex.

CARE & PROTECTION FOR THE HOMELESS AND PEOPLE IN POVERTY

We have donated bottles of Carex hand wash and hand sanitiser to numerous charities across Manchester where our products are made and nationally, who support people in need, tackling the ongoing issue of homelessness and poverty. A few of these include: SPIN – who’s mission is to help and support vulnerable people living in poverty and rough-sleeping in the streets of Manchester. The Booth Centre – Here to bring about positive change in the lives of people who are homeless, to help them plan for and realise a better future. Shelter – Helping millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness.

CARE PACKAGES FOR NHS TRUSTS

Working with Manchester Foundation Trust Charity, we are providing product donations for over 20,000 care packages being sent to the NHS hospital workers across Manchester. Our ambition is to increase our support for the NHS on a national scale over the coming weeks. Like all of you, we want to thank the NHS staff for their tireless efforts during the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

CARE AND PROTECTION FOR EVERYONE

Protecting your hands and the hands of your loved ones is our absolute top priority. We know you will be washing your hands countless times a day, and whilst our products are designed for frequent hand washing with the perfect balance of care and protection, if you do find that your hands are dryer than normal, we advise you to use a moisturising hand cream between washes. We want to reassure you that we are working at maximum capacity to make our products available to everyone.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO KEY WORKERS ACROSS THE UK

Thank you to all of the key workers across the country, working hard to keep everyone safe and supported. You are all appreciated for your courage and determination at this time. We hope that our donation of 5 litre hand wash bottles to the Fire Service in Manchester helps you feel more protected during the incredible work that you are doing.

CARING FOR THE SEASHELL TRUST

We’re proud to have supported the Seashell Trust for many years and are happy to see that our donation of hand wash and hand sanitisers are helping to keep the staff and students safe during this time. We hope this provides some reassurance to the families, who can’t all be with their loved ones at this time, that they are keeping safe.

CITY IN THE COMMUNITY

Carex has a long standing history of delivering hand hygiene education in schools. Most recently we have been working with City in the Community and we quickly reacted to the news of coronavirus by sending out 5,000 bottles of Carex hand wash to schools and nurseries across Manchester via our partnership.

With the majority of schools now closed we continue to work closely to provide relevant content to support home learning.
