The editorial for this edition of Christlife comes from Association Councillor Jennifer Elvery. Jennifer is an education consultant and a sessional lecturer with ACU, teaching in Educational Leadership. She lives in Brisbane.
Young Marists and Young Marist Professionals are invited to join the Santa Teresa Program in January 2020. The program allows you to connect with our First Nations People and learn about country, culture and community whilst forming your faith. 
 
Last week’s celebration of the Assumption, the day that Marcellin nominated as our Marist patronal feast day, provides the theme for Michael Green’s next article in this year’s series on what ‘Being Marian’ can mean for today’s Marists.
 
KATILOSA works to improve the lives of children and youth with disabilities, in the Baucau Sub-district of Timor Leste.
Local Groups, and all Marists in the Association, are invited by AMS to financially support this endeavour to educate children in remote and rural communities in Timor Leste.

Marist180 provides a range of services to support young people and their needs. We take a brief look at some of those programs and services, during celebrations of NAIDOC week.
 
Canberra Marists met recently to cast the spotlight on Youth Homelessness in their community. They were challenged by the statistics and uplifted by the stories of hope shared by Therese Canty from St Vincent de Paul Society.
 
La Valla Hermitage Community invites Marists to consider taking a reprieve from the stresses of daily life by spending quiet and silent time living in community with the Brothers at the La Valla Community, The Hermitage, Mittagong.
