Party for PYD is an event dedicated to raising program funds and increasing awareness of the power of mentoring and inclusion. Together, we celebrate our youth, honorees, successes and partnerships. Since we are not able to connect in person this year, Party for PYD will gather virtually to honor our awardees, enjoy youth performances and a silent auction, and applaud PYD program and participant success.

About PYD
Since 1985 it has been PYD's goal is to create a world where young people with disabilities will be able to live with dignity and pride in who they are, and to lead self-determined lives filled with purpose. To make this happen, we build the skills and abilities of young people with disabilities, and increase the inclusivity of workplaces, organizations, and communities.
Despite progress made in disability rights over the past 30 years, individual and institutional ableism still exist in the world today. Disability remains highly stigmatized, and people with disabilities continue to be denied equal opportunity, access, and independence. We work to change this status quo.
Mission Statement:
PYD empowers youth with disabilities to reach their full potential by providing transformative mentoring programs, youth development opportunities, and inclusion expertise. We motivate youth to reach their personal, educational, and career goals and guide organizations in becoming more inclusive.
